Declassified Document (old but still interesting)

http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/20...northwoods.pdf

That's an old US declassified document talking about reasons to provoke US Intervention in Cuba in the 60's. Pretty disgusting if you ask me, to think that our own government would consider to do these things just to try intervene in another countries affairs.

Interesting statements

"Blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba." (makes you wonder about the USS Maine in the Spanish -American War)

"Start riots near the main base gate (Friendly Cubans)"

"Lob mortar shells from outside of the base into base. Some damage to installations."

There is several more examples to cause a militarty intervention in Cuba. Keep in mind this document was dated March 1962

Hahah, where have you been? Do you know what year it is, or what president we've suffered under for the past 8 years?

No offense man, but your only 16, the government is more crooked than the mafia. At least with them you know where you stand.

Oh and the twin towers inploded, as if it were done on purpose. And Bush is too stupid to come up with that on his own, that's where the CIA comes in. They are probably after me now for putting this on the net.

I don't believe age should be a factor in this but w.e. Am sure our government has done plenty of things they shouldn't have but I don't think the Towers was one of them.

Yeah and as Ome6a pointed out, Iraq is a good example.

You right, all that stuff in loose change is ********. We wouldn't do that to ourselves.

The only way to say it was imploded is if the terrorists planted bombs there themselves.

There is actually a website that proves the whole Loose Change conspiracy wrong. He made up "facts" to argue his point, look it up.

Or to have a reason to declare war?

But as posted before, the Government has been doing this for years. I'm not surprised.

Meh, its just warfare. It provides all of the justification of an enemy attack while actual damage inflicted is controlled to your own liking. And, vitally, your "retaliation" to the event will actually be the first blow struck in the battle which gives you the element of surprise while the enemy suffer the worldwide political backlash as the instigator of combat.

On the 31st of August 1939, the day before the war started, German SS units in Polish uniforms skirmished with the Wehrmacht on the Polish border, and later attacked a radio broadcasting office and put out pro-polish propaganda, giving the appearance of a Polish attack which resulted in civilian casualties. This was Nazi Germany here, so few actually believed their version of events, and the Polish had mobilised weeks earlier so surprise was impossible... but it can and has worked for other nations, the best supposed (not quite certain) example being the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1965 (3 years after this document was created).

Vietnamese boats certainly attacked USN ships earlier in the day, but the confrontation actually used to justify the increased deployment of troops to Vietnam was fought against "phantom targets" according to several US servicemen.

September the Eleventh doesn't fit in with this idea though... the target was too valuable and the risks of being found out too high so its extremely unlikely that the US government would try it, and they bloody well didn't.
