Yeah I know how it is with that one, I drive around a big box truck every day for work so I see ******* drivers nonstop. Driving slower definitely is better because of what you said, plus depending on what you have in back of the truck, for me it would be jet engine parts..which are worth more than my life, so you HAVE to drive carefully and safely. It's funny because when people tail the **** out of me, I literally drop my speed down to like..20-25 mph on normal roads, and I drop it down pretty low if it happens on highways too. The person can tail me all I want and flip me off and do all other ****, I won't speed up back to normal until they get off my ***.

Just today when I was driving the box truck, I was on the highway on the way to one of my stops..I'm in the right lane, no one in front of me no one in back of me. Middle lane, there's this big truck that's a little bit in front of me - there was a good amount of space between the front of my truck and the back of his truck, but not enough for a car to pass through. So then there's this other car behind the truck in the middle lane. What does the little ****er do? Speeds up, and goes to pass me between that tiny *** gap between our trucks, when there was clearly NO room for him to get through. I didn't even think once about slamming on the brakes(I had some parts in the back of the truck that I didn't want to go flying everywhere, plus I didn't want to give in like a little *****), I just kept on going same speed as before. The guy easily got at most a couple inches away from me, then realized that I wasn't going to let him through so he backed into his lane and slowed down to get in back of me. The only drawback to driving a big truck like that is that so many people just cut you off and **** because you drive slower than normal..when there's room for people to pass you and stuff it's fine, but when you have jackasses like this one that just totally expect you to slow down to let him through is just stupid. I forgot to mention, there were no cars in the left lane so he could have just easily went into the passing lane and passed both of us...

It scares the **** out of them.

Hmm. Not bad ideas for when I'm going to school. I usually have someone that's trying to go 50+ in a 35. I usually get up to about 43 but they still tail the hell out of me. Most of them make the same turn I do since the highway is like 0.0001 miles away from my school and they get pissed at me for slowing down to turn left into the campus.

Ok well the guy almost hit you, not almost killed you. I think I shall go into the steriotype area and say that your sister probably can't drive for ****, was holding people up because of "snow" on the road and then she had the nerve to flip him off. If you prevoke it you better be able to support it because if that guy jumped out of the truck I doubt your sister would beat the **** out of him.

Next time get the hell out of the guys way, is it worth being a tough guy and flipping him off?

Drive a massive truck, no one will mess with you. Sounds to me like I head the nail on the head where you think trucks are badass because if people don't get out of your way you run them over. Once again if you didn't mean it that way then my bad but with that wording I am willing to bet I could get most people that read that on my side/view of it.

This is like politics/religion with me. I love driving and I love cars and I can't stand people that can't drive or think they own the road via big vehicles or driving like a moron. A massive truck to me would be an 18 wheeler not an F-250.


O and the penis joke....was just that a joke but it has a deeper meaning as in just because your vehicle is big does not mean the person behind the wheel is 7'2" 410lbs that will take on anyone or anything that gets in there way.

Glad someone saw the main part of my post. Yes, a fully loaded truck is very different to drive, it doesn't turn for **** and it won't stop for ****. Driving slow in a big truck feels fast anyways so screw the people behind you.

But personally, if I see someone that thinks they rule the road because they drive an F-250 with dope rims and a lift, I hang around them a little bit and wait for them to do something moronic. A little risky though since I'm only driving a little VW Jetta. But if I get hurt, it makes them realize how dangerous of a driver they are.

Panny, I'd be happy to personally take my bad driving up to MA and let you know what's up!

Your whole stance makes it seem like you're better than everyone else on the road. You very well may be the best driver out there, but just remember that at the end of the day, you're still subject to getting killed on the road by all the "bad" drivers (womens) you clearly cannot tolerate. Half of good driving is DEFENSIVE driving... and with that comes tolerance and awareness of the morons on the roads.

My personal hatred on the road is towards old people... and as horrible as that may sound, spend as many years as I have in Florida and you might know where I'm coming from... Plus, they're old... I know how to choose my battles.

Agreed.

The old people in Florida are some times more dangerous than the boy racers who think its funny to speed past someone at a very speedy 65mph. (Sarcasm on the speedy part) The only times I have ever came close to having an accident while driving in Florida is the first a woman and child ran across 3 lanes of stood traffic to run infront of my car in the left filter lane, and the second was an old guy in front of me started hitting himself in the face and suddenly slammed the brakes on so I had to swerve round him. Good job I missed him because I would have been done for DUI. (No that doesn't make me feel cool, it makes me feel like a tool)

What happened to you, Slasher, makes it easy to laugh at you (or your sister) for being stupid enough to do what you did, but the other driver's reaction was in absolutely no way justified.

Every time I drove in America, I had to remind myself that I was in a country where your average driver has 2 guns and an RPG in their vehicle (joke) and it's safer to just ignore the pricks on the road rather than acting like one yourself.

Old people are better here because they usually use a bus and walk in the road where then can cause less damage to your car when you hit them. Plus you get 10 points for them!
