| The Michigan State Congress is currently voting on allowing Educational Instructors to possess and carry a weapon onto school property.
I personally think this is wrong, for two reasons.
-Consider this. A teacher has a gun on them, and a student gets really angry. The student does not have a gun themself, but the students knows the teacher has one. If you have a 120 pound teacher and 240 pound student, what are the odds the student is going to wrestle the teacher to the ground, and take their weapon? Now we have a student that can possibly go around the school and shoot it up.
Consider this as well. Knowing a staff member has a weapon, can cause a student to bring one to school as well. It only makes sense. The student figures if the staff member can bring a gun, why can't I? Thus, causing more of a problem than what was trying to be prevented. |
