What I liked about College most is the fact that they would let you breathe. I just didn't like High School, because I don't like being told what to do and the whole punshment factor of it.

In College, If I wanted to have a smoke or drink a soda, I just step outside and have a smoke or a drink. I didn't have to worry about the 12th Grade Defensive Back with an IQ of a Clam being the Smoke Police and trying to drag me to the office.

College is essential now a days. Even if you don't use your degree in the field that it is in having a degree with get you places. No one can go and apply for a job with just a high school degree. You need either an education or experience.

College is essential in certain fields & professions, past that it's just a piece of paper. You've got valid points in relation to experience. That's something that plays a huge factor in everything, and I've seen it often rule out a degree.

Everyone should consider the path they wish to take, and what course of actions will work best for them.

Yeah a piece of paper that get you at least $25,000 more a year.

Like you said nothing can beat experience. I want to be a cop and I plan on getting a criminal justice degree first however if it came down to me and a guy that was in the army for 10 years the guy with 10 years experience would probably get the job most likely.
