Where can I find a Wii?
All right, so I've been looking to buy a video game console and was considering a Wii. However, I cannot seem to find one anywhere, not even online. I'd like to purchase one for no more than $250 or so. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You're going to have a tough time getting a Wii for under $250. Your best bet for that would be ebay, but chances still aren't very good that someone is going to sell their Wii for under $250.
Cheapest I found (excluding ebay) was $400 on Amazon.

Best Buy, in Maine anyway, is selling the console and whatever usually comes with it for $250 flat. It seems as if other places are charging around $300+ for the same exact specs... The thing is, Best Buy is out of stock and supposedly won't have any in for a few weeks. Was wondering if anywhere else sold the Wii for the amount. If not, and Best Buy is going to continue to sell out, I'll just buy a PS3 or just continue with my pc gaming, but I'm not impressed at all with the late pc games...

I wanted to purchase a Wii because of some of the classics, such as Zelda and Metroid, however, as I understand it, the Wii isn't too spectacular, the graphics are mediocre, the games appeal mostly to younger individuals, and there doesn't appear to be any decent RPG series.

Try Virgin, Woolworths, Coda Music or HMV.

yeah, the problem with those stores is that the currency is Euros and it's over in Britain. I don't know of any stores in the state of Maine that actually have stocks of Wii... What is Nintendo limiting the supply of Wii's? I don't think I'm going to buy one at this point.

I recall there being a longtime member on here that was employed by Best Buy, the name escapes me.
My local Gamestop stated to me that they would have no more Wii's until February. All that I can find or order is the Bundle Scam Package with 6 U-Pick Um Bad / Good Games. I just want the console and SuperMarioGalaxy and I'll go from there.

If your in Canada, I think Future Shops stocks them every Friday morning. Line up though they are usually gone within 5....
course this could just be for future shops in the Toronto area...

Keep trying Target. As a company policy Target will not tell you if they have them in stock over the phone. For various reasons. But if you drive around and just walk into the various Target stores in your area and go to the electronics section and ask for one there is a chance you will get one.
This policy of Target helped me get mine the monday morning after the big Thanksgiving shopping weekend...I was amazed they had some after the big Black Friday shopping weekend. Good Luck....
Oh, and I found Walmart and Target do not seem to carry the GameCube controllers anymore. The guy at Walmart said GameCube was a "dead consol". Well, there are millions of Wii's out there now that may need a GameCube controller....
I found a nice GameCube controller at GameStop for $12.95. Was even white in color to match my Wii. Mine was a new one (GameStop brand) but they also sell used Nintendo ones.
Got a (brand new) Nintendo GameCube 251 memory card for my Wii on ebay for $14.00 + $4.95 postage too.
No double posting~erg

Thanks for that valuable input. I don't want to use up all the storage space on the the forum here......geeezzzzz
Edit 1: I hope Cbud didn't spend "$400 on Amazon" for a Wii...there are places to by them for a lot less :)
