Am I the ONLY person to have this damn problem?
I bought a wii earlier this morning, got home and rested alittle, and then went to go try it out. Took it out of the box, plugged everything in, got it set up the right way..turn on the system, and the "press A to continue" screen come up..I press A, nothing happens. None of the LEDs on the remote flash or do anything. I try to sync the remote and can't..I tried different distances from the TV, and nothing..tried different lighting(lights on, and lights off), nothing..different batteries, nothing..the sensor bar is in the right place and working(used a camera so you can see the 5 dots on each sensor of the sensor bar).
So I've pretty much tried everything in the trouble shooter, and still can't get it to work. Since the sensor bar is working and the system seems to be working fine I think it's just the remote, which it hopefully is..bad thing is all the accessories are sold out everywhere pretty much, so I'd have to wait for whenever the next shipment is.
Anyways, anyone else experience this problem or know someone that did and knows how to fix it? Do you think it's just the remote that's bad, or something else?
ugh..

Take it back to the store you bought it, most likely they wont have a replacement though because they might be all sold out.

Yeah they're all sold out, there were only 18 consoles at the Best Buy I got it from..and even less wiimotes/nunchucks.
Whenever they get their next shipment in of wiimotes, or any other store I'll pick one up and try it out..

I have an occasional problem where my remote De-syncs (Only happened twice in the month I have had it), and it wont let you resync it.
All you have to do is unplug the system from the outlet, and plug it back in........Try that if you havnt yet.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in and nothing..still no LED lights on the wiimote or anything. So now I have everything unplugged from the wall, back of the console, TV, and batteries out of the remote..so tomorrow I'll plug everything back in to see what happens.

But to the matter at hand. I'd just take it back and get another...if you've tried everything(or atleast you say you have), and it hasn't worked, obviously you have a problem with the system.
Or you're making a wii little mistake and doing something wrong.
Just my 2 cents.

Well, if you refer to this page,
Wii Have A Problem...
Then...call the support number, they'd probably either tell you the problem, or send you a new controller!
