The Wii site lists 24 publishers for the Virtual Console, including Konami, Capcom, Square/Enix, Tecmo, Bandai/Namco, and Taito just to name a few. (Downloadable games)

Whats all in the box:

Wii box: Wii console, WiiSports, Wii remote (w/ strap), nunchuck attachment, Wii AC adaptor, Wii A/V cable, Wii console stand(?), sensor bar, sensor bar stand and two AA batteries.

Prices:

Console: $250 (comes with wiisports)
Remote: $40
Nunchuck: $20
Games: $50 (Found new news that all wii games are slated at $50 max, but then again, not sure)
Retro Controller: $30 (There are difference ones, they come with a wii points card. You can get one with 2000 points, or 5000 points)
Nes games: 500 Wii points
Snes games: 800 wii points
n64 games: 1000 wii points

Release date: November 19th

Japan: December 3rd

There will be around 30 games at launch, which is amazing.

2,000,000+ consoles at launch, majority in north america.

The new consoles seem to have really great features. I might get a Wii while I wait for the PS3's price to drop to a reasonable level (Probably when the next next-generation consoles come out ).

Make that the three of us. A lot of people are not giving Nintendo enough credit with the Wii. With the line up of games and new interactive features that the Wii is capable of, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Wii right up there with Sony and Microsoft in sales (not to mention online play, especially with Smash Bros!). I'm really excited and the price is looking really nice right now.

The only thing that boggles me is this: Japan gets a remote and a nunchuck attachment included with the Wii system (Which still sells less than the American version with all that), while we have to pay extra for both. Unless I got this all wrong, since you listed both prices under the American category.

No the console COMES with a remote and nunchuck, I was just posting the price if you where to buy an extra one. I will be buying 1 more set.

I edited the first post and took out the japanese stuff, since now the american prices are confirmed.

What I plan on buying:

Wii console, an extra remote and nunchuck, retro controller, Zelda, Red Steel, and mabie excite truck, also possibly 1 more game, it depends on what is at launch, I dont know the games confirmed for launch yet. That all comes to about 500 dollars. That is sad that you can get all that for still atleast 100 dollars less then a ps3.......

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that. The Wii package is going to be well worth $250 considering what we are going to be receiving.

It's more than worth $250 for what you get. I'm getting this system, like the rest, the PS3 is a bit out of my price range.

No doubt... that made no sense to me, either!

It is the thing on the left. That is the nunchuck attatchment, they just call it that causs when you connect them it looks like a nunchuck xD
