Sorry, but that era of gaming went out w/ the Sega Genesis. Not only that, but the way games cost a LOT of money to make, I doubt they'd make enough money to cover the money they used to produce games.

They're in it for the money the same way people making commodity cars don't really compete with sports cars. Sure, they're all cars, but that doesn't mean that they are direct competition with one another...

i'm gonna get TMNT: Turtles in time for the SNES if i ever get the points, i'll play that game till the end of my life.
The Wii sounds amazing, i can't wait for it. The new Zelda and Metroid Prime have my mouth watering.

Nintendo is in it more for the entertainment, and to provide fans with new ways to play games, and ofcourse the other part is for money like every business on this planet. But I think Sony and Microsoft is more for the money than Nintendo.
But in the end, nintendo basicly makes the most money between the 3 consoles, its basicly already a fact, they will be GAINING money per console sale, plus the price of all the other accesories/games. Also the massive amount of wiis being released. Nintendo gonna be raking in the cash.

With the "cheapness" of the consoles and the effectiveness of the marketing campaign.....
You'd think that they'd already have a massive amount of games and consoles ready for release. My question is.... Why haven't they released again?

they are not direct competitors with the ps3 or the 360 the ps3 and 360 are marketed at teh age range of between 18-30. thats why they carried the pricey tag and expensive games. that age range has a higher income level and more disposable income than younger people. The wii is going to be marketed to the age range of 18>. thats why the price is low the controller is interactive and the games are more animated. I know an intern who is consulting nintendo about the marketing of the wii and around christmas expect many commericals marketing to women between the ages of 25-40 because they are most likely to have younger children. This is the first console that will not be mainly marketed to men 18-35. This will cause an insane number of sales due to the availabilty of the console the price and the games. Its pure economic and marketing genuis on Nintendos part and watch this system fly of the shelves for record sales. The last sentence is just my forecast of the Wii in financial and sales standards. P.S I love the economic ideas of vioeo game sif you cant tell

Yeah... you turn the "remote control" looking part of their controller on its side, and voila - you have a classic looking Nintendo controller.

There is a retro controller that will be sold for 20 dollars.
Also, you can use gamecube controllers on the wii, it has 4 slots for them.

The Wii Has a huge chance of selling more than the PS3 because the PS3 is a lot more money and they are releasing a lot only like 300,000-400,000 in north america and north america is where most of the PS3's sales will come from Sony is making a big mistake releasing such a little amount of systems...
Off topic: Is it true the PS3 is going be able to have 8 (6?) people playing at once?

the Wii isn't for little kids...Nintendo is trying to make it fun and a lot of adults (Like Game Designers) are probably going to have a Wii because it is fun.
