Pfft. I highly doubt the heavens are lower than 11 Million Wii's (still have a problem with that name).

On Topic:
Will the price make more people get a wii? I think the question I should be asking is.... Will the price make up for the sacrifice in GFX? (I could be wrong. I heard on the rumormill that there wouldn't be as much processing and gfx power on the Wii as there is for the PS3 and 360...

It's no rumor: it simply won't have as much raw power in terms of CPU cycles, et al.
Nintendo isn't trying to market to the same people as Sony and Microsoft; I don't think they're even going to be "direct competitors" in the true sense with this generation.
It is my personal opinion (and hope) that Nintendo trumps Microsoft and Sony in this gen; it may lead the other companies to consider being innovative instead of just increasing processor power.

If they're not in it to compete in the race to make money.... What are they in it for?

Sorry, but that era of gaming went out w/ the Sega Genesis. Not only that, but the way games cost a LOT of money to make, I doubt they'd make enough money to cover the money they used to produce games.
