Mario Kart Series

Who else just loves the Mario Kart series? I've played every version since the first one back on the Super Nintendo, and I love all of them. I used to play Mario Kart 64 for hours at a time with my friends, to the point where I could memorize the CPU's movements. The new Mario Kart for the DS is pretty freakin' awesome too, anyone played that bad boy?

good times...i was just playing mario kart 64 last weekend with some pals and it was good times and good memories. havnt tried the one for DS yet but if they managed to keep it as good as they did in double dash im sure the game must be sick

By far the greatest Racing Series for any console, yes even GT.

But before everybody labels me crazy (as correct as that logic may be) let me defend myself...

1) Graphically speaking the levels are crisp and clear and very pleasing to the eye. The characters themselves are perfectly 2D and now 3D rendered.
2) Gameplay wise the game has levels that are simple, hard, silly, strategic the whole gambit
3) Co-op Mode...need I say more? The whole part of Mario Kart is getting as many as you can in one room and then spend 6 to 7 hours debating on whether you should be racing with Yoshi (Accleration) or Toad (Steering)
4) It's friggin' Mario, he ownz you

I love Mario Kart. Double-Dash is pure ownage. Me and my friends spend hours playing this game.

Man, I totally agree! Double Dash is by far one of my favorite games of the Mario Kart series!

I own every mario kart game every made. I love the DS one and its hours of endless fun because of Wifi. But Double Dash would be my favorite for the large consoles.

No doubt... if there is one "area" that Nintendo completely lacks in, it's gotta be their commitment to online play.

I would still have to say that Mario Kart for the SNES was my favorite. Lots of great memories and it's a classic. Mario Kart 64 was also a great game and I remember so much fun with my friends and family playing these games against them all.

well....when nothing is going on in our house, me, my dad, and my sister usually get a couple races in

they get destroyed though, Wario is an absolute beast in that game
