Great game. You follow the story of two guys looking for Spanish gold buried during the American civil war from the perspective of a Scorpion and a Spider where you explore these cool, well designed levels killing a bunch of insects, reptiles and rodents. The boss fights are incredibly epic.
The combat with the wii mote is responsive and satisfying and the graphics are probably the best I have seen on the wii, the game can pass as an Xbox360 game in terms of graphics.
Wii owners who are hungry for a Wii exclusive game owe it to themselves to give this one a look, and yes it's better than Mushroom Men.
Well, it doesn't compare to the best of what the 360 has to offer in terms of graphics like Fallout 3, Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 but it certainly looks better than some Xbox360 games, especially first gen games.
Which ones, exactly? I've seen older $10 games that are downloadable on Xbox Live that look better than this game does.
Most first generation games like Gun, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2.
More recent example that I've played would be Lord of the Rings conquest. Graphics in that game were so bland and crappy.

Although the game is really good, and graphics are amazing for a wii game, but i wouldn't say as much to tout them better than the 360s graphics, because there barely any textures and there's considerable slowdown at times.

I rented this and just sent it back. At first, I started it and thought it was pretty cool; an interesting concept, well presented and worked pretty well. Then I got about halfway through the game and just got so frustrated that I never want to see it again. The camera is crap and the controls are unresponsive to the point of frustration. The last 20 minutes as the scorpion went something like:
10 Bug prepares to swoop attack
20 Turn wiimote over
30 Scorpion does nothing
40 Bug attacks and knocks off about 10% health
50 Move to a better spot
60 Camera flips out so I'm looking at side of scorpion and bug is out of shot
70 Bug attacks and knocks off about 10% health
GOTO 10
Every now and then the scorpion would do what he was supposed to do and dig, but I really can't be bothered with it anymore. It's a good idea, but it's not that good, and it's not perfect yet. Maybe DC2 will be worth a look. If it was on any other console than Wii I'd still be playing it, because I wouldn't have to flail around like a drowning child, buttons would just work, and I'd have a Right Stick to control the camera with.
It's a shame, because I was really kind of excited for the first level or two.
LOL... I hope you're proud of yourself... you've probably ruined someone's day once they read your comments on this game.
But on a side note, I was in the video store the other day and I just couldn't talk myself into renting Deadly Creatures... and now I am really glad that I didn't rent it, after reading what you have to say regarding this game.
