Nintendo Wii & GameCubeDiscuss the wide variety of games in general for the Wii & GameCube here. Game may already have its own section in 'Cross-Platform' above.
I've heard its a dud.
I don't think the Gamestop I work at has sold any copies of it.
It's like one of the worst releases ever.
What do I think of it personally? I don't know, I've never played it and I doubt I will.

I've seen a bunch of videos on Wii Music, and it looks like just plain old fun. If I was to play it, however, I would want to play with friends. It seems like that's where the real fun is.
Wii Music came out just over a month ago in North America, and just a couple of weeks ago in Europe and Australia; how can you already be saying it failed? It's still got a long while to go.
I think a price drop of $10 would probably up the sales quite a bit. I think the game looks interesting (particularly the collaboration features), but probably not interesting enough for the price tag. Considering I don't give a damn about Rock Band or Guitar Hero, Wii Music is probably the only musical experience I'd take on, despite the fact that I'm 21 years old.
I saw a video of a class of Japanese students that looked around 7-8 years old playing Wii Music with Shigeru Miyamoto and another Nintendo higher-up, and they simply loved it. I thought it was wonderful that kids really enjoyed it.
I have to say, this 'game' looks like the worst piece of dross I've seen for a while. I admit, I've not played it, but from what I've seen I really don't want to. First off, there doesn't seem to be any actual game. You just faff around, and if you don't do the right thing, it doesn't matter. So what's the point?
Second, even if you decided you did want to actually try and play an instrument, how do you go about it? There doesn't seem to be enough things you can do with the controllers to actually simulate an instrument in any kind of convincing way.
Third, finally, and perhaps most importantly, what the flying f is going on with the actual music? It sounds like nothing more than godawful midi files. Why? Just... why? At least, if you're going to make a game like this, put in actual songs. Bad covers in Guitar Hero is bad enough, but even they have more or less dried up now. And I'd much, much rather play one of those than the turds they pass off for tracks in Wii Music.

Wii Music's debut month was 80,000. Barely broke top 20 for that month.
We don't need another Wii gimmick selling millions *cough* Wii Fit *cough*. The more this crap sells, the more crap they will make. And they wonder why my Wii is in my closet right now.
You don't even drum like it was showed in the demo a long long time ago. You don't position the nunchuck/wiimote in position of the different parts of the drum, you hold down buttons to decide which one you want to hit. That is how hard of a fail this game is. Not to mention the midi quality music.
I stopped playing this game's demo after like two seconds... seriously, if even that long. I'd much rather play Guitar Hero or Rock Band before that pile of dung again. As much as I respect him, sometimes I wonder WTF! Miyamoto is thinking.
