Nintendo Wii & GameCubeDiscuss the wide variety of games in general for the Wii & GameCube here. Game may already have its own section in 'Cross-Platform' above.
1. Why is this in the PS3 section?
2. I do. It just isn't fun for me. The only time I ever had fun with it was playing with some friends. It was fun for like 20 minutes. Then I bought a PS3
Oh, for the love of god. If you're going to make a flamebait thread you could at least try and make it subtle.
Anyway, not me. I love mine. It's no better or worse than the 360 or PS3 IMO, it's just very different. Games that are designed for it well are good, the dross that isn't is just a waste of time, and that's the major downside. There's a lot of rubbish on it, and way too many nonsense minigames. But there's also a lot of good stuff too. It's great for FPSs. Good games however, are sadly few and far between, as with any Nintendo console, although I'm really looking forward to No More Heroes.
EDIT: Out of interest, why make a Wii-hate thread with a Pro-Wii sig?

I'm guessing he wants to find out who hates it so he can flame them. =P
I own a Wii (chosen over 360 and PS3), and while I do not have very many games for it just yet, I enjoy it very much. Most of its use comes from the Virtual Console, and I don't think the Wii would be what it is without that. Like Midnight_Walker said, it is different; the Wii has its own exclusive features which makes it just as good as any other console.
From what I know, most people view Nintendo's products as "kiddy", and I think that is a poor word to describe their systems and video games. Fun is fun, period. I'll be looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl and much more to come.
I think the Wii is a fantastic idea. I think it could've been executed a little better, but I understand why they did things the way they did.
By limiting its abilities (graphics, online play), they've kept the costs down and introduced a radical concept to the market. It's proven to be a great success, and I think because of that, the next Wii will feature much more robust features.
I think it'll be intersting to see how things turn out for Nintendo. Dispite their success with the Wii, GBA and DS, I can almost see them going the way of Sega, and exiting the console market.
It's no better or worse than the 360 or PS3 IMO, it's just very different.

Now this would be pure pwnage... but the question really is how much longer the big N will go before they decide to go "software only", much like Sega did in the past...
I mean, their first party games are just about the only great games on that system... even they must see it.
Sega threw in the towel because the Dreamcast sold poorly, despite it having some of the most imaginative features and unique games of its time. I loved it, for the record, and I was gutted when it died :(
The Wii had the very real chance of repeating Sega's mistakes, but as is clear, the Wii is an absolutely monumental success. I don't see Nintendo going software only anytime soon. I mean, their games library has been in the same state since the N64, and they're still ploughing on. The strange thing is, if any other software company had the same philosophy of reusing the same old characters and stories, they'd be absolutely hung out to dry. But for some reason, we tolerate it from the Big N, and I know I certainly look forward to the next Zelda/Mario/Metroid. I guess as soon as people get fed up with them, they'll really be in trouble.
I like the Wii but not enough to actually buy one. I will play it at my Uncle's or mates but it's the only console I have ever seen where you have to play with at least one other person for it to be fun.
They Wii had great potential but the glorified PS2 graphics and the lack of games for people over the age of 5 put me off buying it.
I don't hate the Wii...because of one thing......BRAWL.........and MP3.........Galaxy...................Zelda........ .....................Other first party nintendo titles...............................
I hate the amount of shovelware CRAP is on the system, but I like the system itself. :)
I don't hate it, but I'm not in love with it either. The motion-censor controller can be fun as long as you don't play with it for too long, but I'd never buy a game that only gives you the option of using the Wii-mote. I bought it for games that let you use the GameCube controller, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. As long as Nintendo keeps releasing games that use the GameCube controller, I don't have a problem with it.

hahaha i totally forgot about sega and dreamcast. too bad they plummeted. i don't see the problem with wii. wii is one of those consoles that if you wanna have a good time with your friends you'd play. i'm more of a geeky loner so i'd stick wtih a console like xbox or ps3. this is the life of a gamer when you don't have friends.
I don't consider the Wii to be in the current console war. Nintendo is targetting a totally different group of consumers than Sony and Microsoft, they even said so themselves. I have a PS3, and I consider the Xbox360 as the PS3's competition. The Wii is great for what it's meant to be. For the most part, it's not for the "hardcore gamers." That's the PS3 and 360's territory. The Wii is for more casual gamers, whose biggest concern isn't graphics. It's for people who prefer fun adventure and party games, and for people who want something that would be fun for more than one person at a time. I think that's great. But I consider myself a hardcore gamer, who is big on graphics, and who loves the more mature games. So the PS3 is perfect for me. But I can't knock anyone who would rather have a Wii.
