I personally think this is a pointless argument! who hates wii??? it doesnt make sense! a console is only as good as the games that are on it,and ALL consoles have good games erm........ok maybe not the Amstrad gx4000!!! lol
I dont really hate the Wii... I just hate the fact that since everyone and their mom had to go out and buy one for X-mas...
for like the last 4 months the games they have came out with is compete ****..( not all their games... just most like 89%)
stupid movie games and games for lil kids and ****..
thats the only thing I really hate about the wii... they are kinda forgetting about the hardcore gamers... and kinda are paying more attention to little johnny son of a ***** over there... cause mommy is gonna buy him "Iron man" for 50$ instead of being smart enough to buy it for the PS2 for only 20$... yea

I agree with you. I can only name a few good games, and barely any for hardcore gamers. I personally think that Nintendo seems to only be making games mainly for the money nowadays, and nothing else. I rarely play the Wii anymore, and now I'm playing the N64 and SNES again. It's kinda sad to see a long time Nintendo fan watch as one of his favorite childhood pastimes turn into a money making scheme.
Dont blame nintendo directly for all the crap games. You have to remember, the wii is cheap to produce, and with the installment base, its cheap to produce games from, and you get a larger return than with a traditional type console. So that is the reason for so much shovelware, but dont blame Nintendo or the Wii directly, since 95% of Nintendos games are high quality, and excellent. Its more of the third parties fault, but i cant really blame them for trying to make a profit without really trying, for alot of developers, its a Win-Win situaton, that doesnt come around often.
I do blame alot of developers however for not trying to take advantage of the amazing things you can do with the system if u push the envelope enough.

yeah i got a wii for christmas and i never play it. i think its only fun when you don't have one and your playing your freinds. that way its a treat, but when you can play it anyday, anytime, its just not very fun.

It's a business. Nobody makes video games for any other reason than to make money. Don't get fooled into thinking devs are doing in because they love you - if you love a game but it sells absolutely terribly, you won't be seeing a sequel. OK, maybe you will if they already started work on it, but you won't be seeing another!
I agree with Styles too, it's not Nintendo's fault that everybody else's games are crap. The games made by Nintendo for the Wii are freakin' awesome, so how can you blame them for what everyone else is doing? Is it Microsoft's fault that Two Worlds sucks balls? No*; so you have to draw the same parallel with Nintendo.
All that said, I rarely play my Wii for the reasons already mentioned. There needs to be some better games, and soon...

And that somebody needs to be dragged out into the street and beaten violently within an inch of their sorry little Oblivion-wannabe lives. Or perhaps they should even be dragged out into the street and made to play Two Worlds from start to finish. I'm not sure which would be worse.
Wii is good, it introduces a whole new way to play games. I have to admit, I like to play my 360 a lot more. I think out of all the three consoles, I feel that the 360 is the best of this generation.

I Agree. But the Wii is made for kids. XB360 and Ps3 are for us older people who like violence, trash-talk, and just plain fun^^

No, trash-talk on X360 and PS3 is definately not for the older people. In fact nothing irritates me more than stupid kids screaming 'n00b' every 5 seconds.
I still don't understand why people always go with the "Wii is for kids" crap. I remember in HS people used to attack me because I played Nintendo games which were for "babies" and didn't play games like Halo 2. Yes, the people in my High School were idiotic Microsoft Fanboys. It was annoying.
Though, the Wii isn't exactly for kids. If you can notice, it's already getting some Rated M games. If I'm not mistaken, those are definitely NOT for kids. Neither are Rated T games. Unless of course we have parents buying their young kids those games, then that's their problem... and mistake, might I add.
Either way, there's already games for the Hardcore Gamers and Casual Gamers alike. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii are basically for the hardcore ones. Games like Wii Fit are for those casual ones. Also, there are more games to come anyway. So I won't have a problem once one of my favorites(Tales of Symphonia 2) gets released.
Also: To the people attacking Nintendo for those "crappy" games. That's not their fault. The 3rd Party Companies are making those, go ahead and attack them if you'd like.
The WII drives me nuts. They havent had many games that have interested me. I would like to get Animal Crossing though. Its not very easy to find a WII around here so they must be popular. The WII just isnt for me though.
Why do you think people say Wii is for kids? Why do think think it is just a "fad"? Why you think they believe it is for "Grandmas and soccer moms"?
Nintendo purposely portrays that image themselves. Anyone see the E3 conference? Not one thing directed towards any old school, "hardcore" gamer. Nothing in that presentation has anything about why we used to love Nintendo so much. They completely veered off their "usual" formula, and went into this "kids, fad, grandmas and soccer mom" mode that they keep showing off.
Me being on the internet enough, I know there are games on the Wii that cater to my gaming "demographic", but Nintendo just wants to brush us aside for these casual "non-gamers".
I was just hoping they showed footage of MadWorld right in the middle of that conference. Scare all the children away! :P
