Snake makes his way up and over metal gear , arriving at the command room where he see's Liquid & Ocelot talking. He quickly hides and overhears the pair's conversation.
Ocelot confirms that he has entered the PAL codes and disengaged the Nuclear device, it is ready to launch anytime.....Only Liquid's order is pending.. Liquid confirms that no response has been given from Washington . He says that it's almost time to show them that they mean Business.
Ocelot : "Should i set it to Cherneton, Russia ? "
Liquid ; "No.. there's been a change, The new target is Lochnaw, China !!! "
Ocelot is really surprised by his Boss's change in plans, and asks Why ?
Liquid states he wouldn't want to upset Ocelot & Galouchovich (its their homeland) .But Ocelot is still skeptical about the real motive.
Liquid say's its really because if they nuke a major population centre like Cherneton, "the game is over". However, Lochnaw (China) is a nuclear test site (it can still be covered up from the public ) .If Lochnaw is attacked ,Washington will be worried about the retaliatory strike from China - which would mean top-secret talks between the 2 countries, resulting in America having to divulge the existence of a new & advanced type of nuclear weapon. This would also mean a breach of the CBTB (Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty). A treaty reached by the UN at the Geneva conference abolishing all forms of Nuclear Testing). This would place America's ( and the president's reputation in ruins ) and several nations would flock to the terrorist's wanting to purchase Metal Gears information off them. Liquid is sure this plan will for sure, ensure that the President gives into their demands. Ocelot is impressed, and just reiterates their demands- Big Boss's DNA & 1 billion dollars. Ocelot asks if the Money was important too ?
Liquid reveals that the money can be used to cure the genome soldiers & he is also including something called the "FOXDIE" vaccine as part of the deal..
Ocelot :" Foxdie....It killed Octopus & the ARMSTECH President...So it seems that it affect's older people first...Mantis may not have been affected because of his mask "
Liquid :"It didn't affect Wolf too...hmm. Maybe because of all the tranquilizer's she used to continuously take. "
Ocelot : "Something to do with the Amphetamine and adrenaline levels in Blood ? It seems they deployed a product still in development, into real combat...No wonder, it's so unreliable and unpredictable..They must have so been desparate....."

Liquid changes the subject regarding their ally in the terrorist attack- Colonel Serge Gurlukuvich. He ask's if they have heard from him.
Ocelot turns around and accidentally see's Snake, hiding, in one of the video monitors. However, he just muses....He isnt doing anything !!!!
Ocelot say's that Gurlokovich still has doubt's over the capabilities of Metal Gear, maybe they can deal with him after the test launch is successful . Liquid observes that Gurlokovich is a very prudent man, and has his doubts, as to whether he would agree . But Ocelot reassures him- Gurlukuvich wants Metal Gear so bad he can taste it. He say's that Gurlokovich's dream is to see Russia rise as a military Super-power again , and if Russian wants to regain its strength ,they need a weapon that can't be detected- they need Metal Gear !! . However, Liquid is amused at Gurlukuvich plans to use nuclear weapon's as a way to restore their superiority- his regular army is in shambles. Liquid feels Gurlokovich is not worthy of the title of "Warrior" , he is more of a "politician" in a sense. However, Ocelot defends him, revealing that Gurlukuvich was the one that gave them the Hind Russian Gunship and most of their heavy firepower. Liquid agrees, and suggests that they join forces with Gurlukuvich- he has over 1000 soldier's under his control. An alliance is just what's required- since Mantis died , the genome armies brainwashing has begun to wear off. An alliance could boose the morale of the soldiers.
Ocelot suddenly becomes skeptical with Liquid's new plan.
He asks Liquid , Aren't they going to escape from here after all this ?
Liquid replies that they are not going to go anywhere, they are going to dig in !!He reaffirms their position- they can launch a nuclear missile, to anywhere on the planet, that can't be detected. They also have spare warheads. Once they have Big Boss's DNA & the money- the world will be there's!
Ocelot is surpised by the change in plan's and ask's about Gurlukuvich's position in all this- Liquid simply states he has no interest in the rebirth of "mother Russia".
Liquid says he is going to revive Big Boss's dream.
"From this day call this place 'Outer Heaven !'"

Snake is surprised at this shocking revelation......

Ocelot spot's Solid Snake again on the video monitor but continues talking with Liquid about the PAL safety system. He asks Liquid, if he isn't worried if the PAL could be over-ridden ?
Liquid : "No need to worry, the DARPA Chief and the Armstech president are already dead... Besides, you had interrogated him , haven't you ?
Dont you know whether he know's the secret ? "
Ocelot : "He didnt have any keys on him".
Liquid : "GOOD...then no one can stop Metal Gear now.........."
ocelot : "By the way, what should we do about that girl , do we need to kill her ? "
Liquid refuses- knowing that she's Campbell's niece and Solid Snake care's for her.Hence she can be used to exploit a weakness in him. At that point Snake receives an CODEC call from Otacon.

Snake receives an CODEC call from Otacon.
Otacon : "Snake..i found Baker's top secret files.. Now, how is it going there?"
Snake : "They have already finished inputting the PAL codes..So how do we deactivate them ?"
Otacon : "Ok..y'see the override system that the president was talking about .It can also be used to input the detonation codes..Y'see ...if you insert the keys when the warhead is active, you deactivate it.And if you insert them if it is inactive, it becomes activated.. And you can only use the keys once...You need the three keys, for input"
Snake : "I only have one..Where are the others ? "
Otacon : "Hold on a moment, Y'see,thats the trick , you already have all the three keys !!"
Snake : "What are you talking about ? "
Otacon : "The card key is made of a shape memory alloy. Its a material that changes shape at different temperatures.. This key was made out of it !!"
Snake : "So, this key is actually 3 keys in one ...Clever...so that's why you could enter the keys only once ? "
Otacon : "Probably..yes.. "
Otacon then asks snake to look at the 3 laptops in the control room in which Ocelot and Liquid were standing. He tells that these would be the 3 emergency terminals in which Snake would have to insert the respective keys, each at diff: temperature. The left-most one must have the key at room-temperature ( means the key should be at room temperature ). Next to that, is the low-temperature key terminal . The one on the right, is the high-temperature key terminal . The world is riding on those keys...Snake !!!

Otacon cuts the conversation. Snake now tries to carefully evade the door and reach the other side, but unfortunately Ocelot spots him in the process !!
He fires a shot, which takes snake by surprise, and his card-key falls down into a drainage ditch.

Liquid spot's Snake when he runs after the card & starts taunting him. Snake tries to shoot him, but he can only hit Bullet-proof glass. Liquid smiles and pushes the Red-alert button. Snake must fight his way past genome soldier's that Liquid has alerted.
Snake obtains the key from the drainage ditch, and makes his way back to the command room at a later time, and sees that Ocelot & Liquid have left.
He uses the key at room temperature. He then makes his way to the warehouse where he fought Vulcan Raven & cools the card there. He uses that key on the second terminal laptop . Now , he decides to makes his way to the blast furnace, the hottest place in the facility.
Snake receives a CODEC call from Master Miller, who, once again, asks snake to ensure that the CODEC monitor is off.
Miller : "Snake..this is about Naomi Hunter...".

Miller : "Snake...turn your monitor off.. No one else should hear this, not even the Colonel "
Snake : "Ok. its off..No one can hear us..Go Ahead.."
Miller : "I have got a good friend in the pentagon. He's the one who told me about it.. It looks like The DIA has recently developed a new type of assassination weapon. ..."
He continues : "Have you ever heard of something called ...FOXDIE ? "
Snake : "No.."
Then suddenly, he remembers it being mentioned in the conversation btw Liquid and Ocelot. He mentions that to Miller.
Miller : "Yeah.. it's some kind of Virus that targets certain people. I dont know all the details, but.. "
Snake : "What are you trying to say ??"
Miller : "Its..too similiar .. The cause of death....Didnt the Armstech President and the DARPA Chief, i mean Decoy Octopus, die of something that looked like a heart-attack ? "
Snake : "Yeah.."
Miller : "Well.. apparently, Foxdie kills it's victims by simulating a heart-attack. Snake.. i am trying to remember, but did Naomi give you some kind of injection ?
Snake informs him that she had injected some nano-machines into him , for monitoring his body temperature & condition. Could it be ?
Miller : " I just know that she was in the best position to have done it, but i dont know what her motive was.."
Snake tells Miller , that he will ask the Colonel himself about her. He switches CODEC over to the colonel and ask's Campbell whats new with Naomi. Campbell say's he placed her under arrest because she was sending coded messages to the Alaskan base. Campbell is sure at this point that she is with the terrorist's. He informs snake that she is being interrogated for further details , and will inform snake, once he finds something. He cuts the conversation.
Miller : " So..it's true.. Isnt it ? "
Snake : "Naomi...i cant believe it "
Miller : "That means the FOXDIE Vaccine must be around somewhere, since The DIA had planned to use it to thwart the terrorist plans. Snake, i think that's what killed them for sure . But snake, probably you might be infected too, you know "
Snake : " All i can do is leave it up to the Colonel ".

Snake makes his way to the blast furnace and heats up the card. On his way back to the command room, however, he receives a CODEC call.
" Snake... can you hear me.? This is Naomi "

Snake : "Naomi...What..."
Naomi :" Snake..i am using a hidden codec. "
Snake : "Is the colonel telling the truth ? Are you... ? "
Naomi : "Yes .. Its true...But not everything i told was a lie..."
Snake : "Who are you ??"
Naomi : " I cant even answer what you just asked me...I dont know anything..My parent's face's, my real name...even the name and ID I have now, i had to buy... But.. The reason why i study Genetics...that was true .."
Snake: " cause you want to know yourself, right ? "
Naomi : "Right...i wanted to know my name,my age...who i am.. All i know is that i was found in Rhodesia sometime in the 80's..A Dirty little orphan"
Snake : "Rhodesia, what's now known as Zimbabwe ? "
Naomi : "Yes. Rhodesia was owned by England until 1965, and there were lots of immigrant Indian labourers around..that's probably where i got my skin colour from..but i am not even sure about that..."
Snake :"Naomi..you are too worried about the past..Isnt it enough to understand who you are now ?"
Naomi : "Understand who i am now? Why should I ? No one else tries to understand me.......I was alone for so long....until i met my big brother...and HIM...."
Snake : "Your big brother ?"
Naomi : "Yes....Frank Jeager..."
Snake : " What..?"
Naomi : "Yes..Frank Jeagar..the man who you destroyed...he was my brother and my only family... He was a young soldier, when he picked me up from the Zambezi river. I was half-dead from Starvation, and he shared his rations with me.."
Snake : "No......Gray Fox ..."
Naomi : "We survived that hell together...Frank and I...He protected me..He was everything to me...the only proof i had of my existence..my existence as an individual "
Snake : " then you both came to America "
Naomi : " No.... It was HE, who brought us back to this "Land of Freedom..", America "
Snake : "Who is He ? "
Naomi : "He was -- BIG BOSS !! ....... "

Snake : "Big Boss ? "
Naomi : "Yes.. He took us to America and helped me complete my doctorate. After that,me and my brother came back to fight the war in Zanzibar for him...And that's when it happened... You killed my benefactor and sent my brother home a cripple . You seized everything that i had, away from me.... From that day,I vowed revenge on you, and joined Foxhound. I knew it was my best chance to meet you , and i prayed for the day that i would....."
Snake : " So, were your prayers answered ? "
Naomi : "Yes, i waited 2 long years..."
Snake : "To kill me ? Is that all you cared about ? "
Naomi : "Yes..that's right. you were all that i thought about for 2 long years...like some kind of twisted obsession..."
Snake : "Do you still hate me ? "
Naomi : "Not exactly..I was partly wrong about you.."
Snake : "What about Liquid and the others ? "
Naomi : "I will have my revenge on them, soon.."
Snake : "Naomi, you didnt kill that doctor too, did you ? The one that used GrayFox for the genome experiments, Dr. Clark ?"
Naomi : "No..that was my brother who did it ....After that i covered it up and helped him hid out "
Snake : "Gray Fox...So, He's come here to kill me ? "
Naomi : "I dont think so now..Now i understand...He's just come here to fight you.. A final battle with you..That's all he lives for. I 'm sure of it "
Snake : "Fox..." (sad )
Snake : "Naomi, tell me something..."
Naomi : "About Foxdie ? " " Foxdie is a type of retrovirus that targets and kills only sprecific people . "Foxdie contains "Smart" enzymes created through protein engineering. First it affects the Macrophages in the victim's body. , and are programmed to respond only to programmed genetic cell patterns . They respond by identifying the person's DNA . It's contains a type of cytokine, a peptide which causes cells to die. These are carried along the bloodstream to the heart, where they attach to the TNF receptors in the heart cells ".
Snake : "And then, they induce a heart attack ? . Naomi, you must have programmed that thing to kill me too, right ? "
Naomi remains silent. Snake asks her if he still has any time left. . Naomi again can't bring herself to answer. Snake reassure's her that he doesn't blame her for wanting him dead- but he still has a job to do. Snake tells her he wants to know the truth, only because there is a mission for him to complete.
Naomi " Listen, snake... i am not the one who made the decision to use Foxdie..."
Snake : "Huh..You werent ? "
Naomi : "No..you were injected with Foxdie as a part of this operation. I just wanted to let you know that....."

Just as Naomi begins to tell Snake something seemingly important, communication is abruptly cut off. She is wrestled away from the CODEC & Campbell returns. He tell's Snake he can't let Naomi make any more unauthorized transmissions- she's not a part of the operation.
Snake : "Hey, what happened to Naomi ? What did she mean when she said that Foxdie was part of this operation ? Colonel , let me talk to her...."
Campbell : "I wont..She's under arrest "
Snake : "Colonel...You double-crossed me ? "
Campbell : "Snake, there's no time for all this !..Right now, your job is to stop Metal gear "

Filled with suspicion for Campbell, Snake find's his way back to the command room of Metal Gear with the 3rd PAL key . He enters the heated key on to the third computer. As snake waits anxiously, The computer shows "ACCEPTED " on the screen .
A long voice then sounds over the speaker :
"PAL CODE NUMBER 3 CONFIRMED..."
"PAL CODE ENTRY COMPLETE......"
"Detonation Code ACTIVATED ... READY FOR LAUNCH !!!"

Snake : "WHAT ... ? !!" .
Snake see's The ominous sight of Metal gear Rex getting activated.

Angry & confused , Snake falls dejectedly, onto the ground.
Snake suddenly gets a CODEC call from Master Miller.
" Thank you , Snake. Now the detonation code is completed !!! "

So are you going to continue the rest of the story? I actually enjoyed reading it and seeing how super accurate it was to the in-game dialogue.

Cylon,unfortunately i would have to say "No" . As you know, There are very few people in here , to justify pasting the story in here. It's a waste of time to do that for just 5-20 people who used to come in here everyday to view this thread, even though i have the whole material with me, ready to be pasted.
I will soon be posting all these on an another site( forum) . If you are interested , i could tell you where i m gonna post it. Anyway, thanks for liking this post.
