I just got around to playing this game online a couple of days ago and I must say, I am VERY impressed. There are times of BS lag here and there, but that's with all new online games.

I can see why that one guy left SOCOM for this game because I find it amazing and funny at the same time.

I wish that the CQC was more effective though. In the actual game, one slam would knock the guy out, online it takes three slams and it's hard to grab them again (or even shoot) after you just got through slamming them.

I know, right? I was literally in tears (from laughing) the first time that I shot someone in the back... after popping out from underneath a cardboard box, that is.

I laughed the hardest while playing a TDM game and I was sniping and what decides to walk through my scope? I guy crouched down in a box just scurrying across. I could have killed him but I was too busy laughing.

I also love having fun with the CQC and Mosin Nagant even though I think the CQC online is Bullsh*t!! It needs to be more effective.

It's lame you just get'em on the ground and get one good stab at'em. They need to make it better.

The sad thing is, you are not even looking at them when you throw them to the ground so you have to work quickley for the kill or they can just roll as soon as they get up and you're screwed.

If you learn how, you can easily avoid being CQC'ed or rolled into, you just have to have quick reflexes, and a good eye for camoflauged characters.

No, I have no problem avoiding people rolling and CQCing, I am complaining about how ineffective CQC is against other players.

I bought the game yesterday and I'm absolutly loving it. I haven't gotten around to online play yet because I'm still going through my first time ever playing MGS3 in single player.

I can't wait to try onling mode though

In England subsistence isn't out yet, but on the regular PAL version you get country face paints and the DPM camo. Also included is snake verses the monkey, demo theatre and duel. So I don't think i'm missing much except the online mode.
