Its already been confirmed, no one knows when it will be out or when any details or screens will be released, but we now know they are making it as we speak.
What are some things you would like to see in the new mass effect, besides multiplayer lol

Why make a single player RPG game multiplayer? I don't want to see that.
The only thing I want to see is a really good follow up from Mass Effect.

Agreed, 100%. Forget multiplayer. It's an RPG, for crying out loud - not every game in the world needs to have some half-arsed multiplayer mode tacked on just because the console happens to have a web connection. More of the same, minus the horrendous texture loading will do me fine, thanks very much.
How about, no more 20 minute elevators? Don't design it so that cheap skates are happy that you dont have to have a HDD. That would fix the texture pop-ups as well wouldn't it? Cached information?
The reason the textures took so long to load up was because they had maximum graphic capability running at all times rather than doing what some RPGs do and reduce graphics while you're just running around.
The elevators pissed me off as well. You would think with all of that technology that they would have fast *** elevators and not elevators that ran slower than what ours do in the real world.

Not sure if you ever noticed, but near the end of the game, when your team is heading up to the Citadel Tower by way of elevator, it's freaking cruising during the cutscene, or so it seems to me. It was never that fast any other time. =)

Personally, I could do without a Multiplayer experience. Co-op, maybe, but no deathmatch or anything like that.
I'd want it to be just a deeper experience then the first one. I'd want a LOT more side-missions, a lot more planets that you could visit, etc.
I'd also like the galaxy map to have a way to show you what's in the system you're going to. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where this place was, like that station on the Hoth-like planet you go to.
I wish I had time to go through the first game again, let alone the new Map Pack. Mass Effect is not geared to be a Multiplayer Game in my opinion. Co-Op would be nice but the regular SP player game had alot of slow-down as it was. Mass Effect is supposed to be a trilogy, so I'll be playing the next two for sure. Mass Effect is one of those rare games where the music is still stuck in my head.

They need to make the layout of the side mission planets better in my opinion. All of the planets look the same, just different environmental changes.
You should be allowed to land on Earth too and see what the future Earth looks like through Mass Effect designers eyes.
well luckily they have been getting better at getting the quirks out of the system when they were developing the pc version, so mass effect 2 shouldnt have as many issues as the first. Besides, the whole reason it looks a bit rushed in the programming was most likely becuse they wanted to get the first installment of the series out in time to get the second and third out within the consoles lifespan. They spent an awful amount of time on it to begin with.
With Ea sponsoring them though, we may either not have a third game, or the second will be one huge commercial.

this went through perfectly! didn't think it would happen.

I agree; multiplayer (as in deathmatch and the like) is a no-thanks. Co-op is a very strict maybe. Not all games have to have some sort of multiplayer function; I enjoy my single player games.
There were a crapload of side missions in Mass Effect, but the problem is that a lot of them lacked the ability to be epic and remembered after you were finished. I'd rather have memorable experiences than a bunch that offer little gratification. Loved Bring Down the Sky!

I never had a problem with the looks of the planets. If anything, the fact that they all looked the same is more realistic (a personal preference). That's what planets are; chunks of rock. Some of those planets had major differences (can't think of anything at this very moment, but there are), nothing drastic, and I think that's how it should be.
If we see more planets this time around, however, I'm sure we might see some different environments such as icy caves, volcanic tunnels, gorges... that kind of stuff. I'm not really sure what more you expected in Mass Effect. =P

What I meant was, you land on a planet, look at your map, then slowly make your way to the anomaly's, debris, etc constantly having to worry about jumping over rocks and climbing up large mountains. It's just too tedious and repetitive.
