All I needed to know is the fact that Zipper is behind it all... I can easily think of three to five other (PS3 or 360) games that I'd rather spend money on.

LMAO... I have to give you credit... I always see you actively trying to get more people playing that game. Perhaps you should change your forum name to persistence?
They should give you a trial period with each faction before you decide. I don't want to pick one faction, not do good in there, and have to wait however long to change. I want to be able to test them out, see what each one gets and get a feel for them before I decide. I mean, you don't just go out and join some random club, just because you want to be in a club. You go check places out, see which one fits you best and get to know the members a little bit before you decide.

SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs is a third person tactical shooter video game for the PlayStation 2 and a sequel to SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs. The game was developed by Zipper Interactive
The only reason Socom 2 is so legendary is because it was the right kind of game at the right time. Its countless flaws were accepted because there was no other game like it on the market.
Now multiplayer military shooters are a dime a dozen, with everyone trying to put their own twist on the genre. Socom Confrontation is proof enough that if Socom 2 were released today, having never existed before, the shoddy product would not be as successful.

Haha. Well hey can't blame me for trying. Always looking for cool people to play with.

You know what? I'm going to give Zipper a chance with this game.
This has been their baby for a long time. They were thinking about creating a game of this scale for years, even before Socom 1.
This has been their dream. Infinity Ward had the same dream for a Modern Warfare game years before the first Call of Duty for the PC, and years later they churned out COD4, one of the best shooters of this generation and arguably one of the best all time.
I believe they can pull it off.
