At first I was skeptical, why another PSP with just minor enhancements ?

But it's actually pretty darn cool. It's got Skype (audio and video) , group voice chat , bigger screen size, more storage, wifi / 3G options , much better processor, slightly better graphics , and it's suppose to support all current PS3 games (via remote play) with a future update.

the down sides - they coulda come down more with the price some. And the battery that comes with it only seems to last a couple hours.

The Vita that I played in a store display a few weeks ago was verrr nice... but I have been burned by Sony in the past, so I will NEVER be an early adopter of any of their handhelds.

I'd like to buy it once a price drop hits/second iteration. I really want to play Gravity Rush and Uncharted.

See I am still confused about that... Do you have to buy the game again for the Vita in order for you to remote play? Also, can you play lets say MW3 or BF online on it? I hear so many different things.

I have been watching on ebay for the past couple of months trying to get one for $180.00. Got close a couple of times.

I was never into PSP's, for some unknown reason, and surprised myself for wanting a Vita so much. I ended up buying one and I am very impressed with it. The games look amazing on this small device and the controls feel just right.

Nope, you're good as long as you have it on PS3...and it's remote play ready . A lot of games still aren't remote play ready though.

here's a list, not sure how accurate it is though

    Yay: I got my Vita
    Boo: I'm old

I love the Vita - it's exactly what I wanted - a PSP with an extra stick and beefy graphics, I really didn't care about the extras that were shoved in. The main problem I have with it at the moment is the same problem I had with the Wii at launch, and it's not really the Vita's fault - but devs are using features of the vita for no other reason than because they exist, not because they work better or add to the game. Case in point, Uncharted - In order to beat up guys you now press square square square (punch punch punch), and then swipe the screen in the way it tells you to land a KO. It doesn't need it. It doesn't need rotating objects and wiping the dust off them - it adds nothing to the game, they have just been thrown in because the Vita happens to have a touchscreen.

Oh, another thing. Uncharted looks FRIGGING AWESOME. No, really. I could tell it apart from the PS3 version, but it's not too far off. I would say the difference is akin to PSP vs. PS2. Wipeout also looks awesome. Everything else looks... ok. Mortal Kombat looks particularly disgusting up close, but in motion it's fine. Of course, this is just the start, and everything will look better further down the line, but it would be nice if everything would look as nice as it clearly could.

But wait! There's more! I had the audacity to buy a second hand copy of Mortal Kombat. When I slotted it in told me that only the original owner of the software can earn trophies. I was able to erase the data on the card in the super secret hidden erase menu, but I don't like the idea that carts are tied to accounts - what's the reason for it? I don't think it will be long before they disable the ability to resell.

Apart from all that though, it's great :)

Vita is portable console with huge potential, interesting design and.. it's little bit big as a portable console (but I must admit - Vita isn't heavy). Personally I'm waiting for Cross platform functionalities Vita-PS3

I bought the Vita nearly upon it's release, and I must say I'm impressed. Touch my katamri is a really good game for katamari fans and Asphalt Injection has amazing graphics.
