Anyone else pissed off with the Nintendo 3DS?
i've played on it and i thought it was awful. the screen is too small,
you get eye strain and it just looks cheap and toy like.
sorry, maybe it's because i recently got an XL, but i think they really suck.
and the fact that they're making professor layton & the mask of miracles on 3DS and not on normal DS.
T____T ffs. and the same with the legend of zelda. why don't they continue to make these awesome
games on normal DS? i'm not buying a 3DS costing me around £200 just to buy 2 games.
nintendo has really disappointed me. o_o

I have a 3DS and it's badass. I've never had eyestrain or any other adverse effects from it either, although it did take a bit of getting used to at first. The reason they're making new games on the 3DS is because there's more to it than just the 3D - it's a generally more powerful bit of kit than the old DS so even without the 3D games still look miles better.

I love my 3DS. It strains my eyes somewhat but what's awesome is the adjustment slide to alter the 3D effects. I've played my 3DS more in the past month than I've ever played my PSP.

hey, cheers for that. kinda made my mind change a bit. i might see if i can pop into game or something and have another go - or maybe i'll wait till they make a DSiXL3DS (lols)... if you can get anymore symbols in there o_o

One of my friends offered to let me borrow his 3DS for about a week. Did a 100% run through of Ocarina of Time. I tried to do it all by memory, since I have 100% competed the game at least 6 or 7 times in the past.
I ended up having to look up 5 heart pieces and 8 or 9 gold skulltulas. I was close :P
Anyways, all I wanted to play for the 3DS was OoT. So I don't need to buy one any time soon. I honestly only played it with the 3D just BARELY on, or completely off. I don't know what it is like with other games, but the 3D any more than half way for OoT was down right impossible to focus correctly.

I like it and I'm glad I have one. However I will say the battery life on that thing is terrible!

Turn off the internet to save battery life.
I'm disappointed with the lack of a library. The eShop really sucks right now as well. I think waiting a week for Nintendo to only put 2 games on the Virtual Console is ridiculous. It'll take years to get a good library going. The only good game on there right now is Link's Awakening. That aspect of it pisses me off.
StreetPass content isn't that great and no one has a 3DS so you can't tag that many people. I have OoT, Ridge Racer, and Street Fighter and other than that, nothing looks good. I really wish the launch titles were as good as these holiday releases like Super Mario, Mario Kart, Starfox, and Kid Icarus. If these 4 games and OoT were available upon release, it would be a total sensation.
Nintendo dropped the ball. I like playing my system but a lack of good Virtual Console and physical titles make it a really big bummer. I can only hope that this Christmas will make all this sorrow worth it.

The E-shop disappoints me. I don't know why and maybe some tech heads would be able to explain but why can you not download classic NES games in the E-Shop? I'd love to download the original Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus, The OG Super Mario Brothers games and lots of others. I know you can download most of those on the Wii but they should be available for the 3DS.

Because Nintendo think that drip-feeding one or two ancient releases each week, that nobody gives a **** about anyway, and then charging the earth for them is a great business model.

its pretty much the smae approach as the wii shop. they slowly added games every week and now its treasure trove of retro awesome. At least we wil have the benefit of half of those gmaes being in 3d though. I assume in the coming months we will start getting some more original indie and wii ware type of titles as well as the retro titles, but I dont know why its taking so long.

but the Wii has been out for a few years to get great stuff. I don't want to wait years because by then, another company will have made a better 3D portable where you wont have to sit and stare at the screen in the exact position the whole time.
They need to get this show on the road. It's Nintendo. Come on. That's a huge name in gaming and I think the funds to even put old games that aren't 3D on the eShop wouldn't hurt their funds one bit. September 11th is the only date i'm looking forward to. after that, i'll be bummed out again until the 2 mario titles get released.
i just wanna know i made the right choice.

I don't think anyone else will ever make a 3D portable atleast not anytime soon, it's just so stupid, people would rather have the accelerometer then 3D, but Sony's psv will have better games, and a much better launch.
On topi I'm not pissed since I had the foresight not to buy it, there isn't a single new game on it, just remakes and sequels, and that might be okay if it wasn't the 10th time Nintendo did that, the same thing the 10th time is worse then the first even if it's better.
Anyone else pissed off with the Nintendo 3DS?
