I don't own a psp or a ds but I found something interesting.
I am a fan of the final fantasy series and I noticed there are more FF titles on the ds than on the PSP.
What happened to the world?

Let me explain. first off, youa re wrong. there are way more final fantasy for psp. Have you forgottent hat final fantasy 7, 8 and 9 can be ripped on a PSX for the psp? 100% full speed... Cloud on the go... Also, final Fantasy 6 is also on PSX which can also be ripped.
Adding those in, there are more for the psp. Also, final fantasy revenant wings isnt that great, chrystal chronicles series in my opinion arent great (except for one which can be played co-op on the wii. Overall, i jsut dont think any DS final fantasy offering can beat having Final Fantasy 7 on your psp

Get lost cheapskate. stop marketing piracy. We dont do that here. When Sony officially releases it on the PSP store, then let us know. For now though, the DS does have more FF titles than the psp.

Idiot, there are legal ways of doing that. you can take the original discs of the PSX games and LEGALLY rip them onto your psp. If you own final fantasy 7, 8 or 9 (i own 7 and then you LEGALLY can rip them. You OWN the games.
This is the eproblem, just because i hacked my psp and use its full limitations LEGALLY, you assume im a pirate.
Open up your mind beyond your preconcieved notions.

You need to download customer firmware to play ripped psx via emu on your psp. Downloading custom firmware VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY and BREAKS TERMS OF SERVICE, so technically, it is not legal. YOU FUCKING FAIL!
Now don't get me wrong, i don't care what people people put on their systems and handhelds, but don't come in here and telling people to buy a PSP so they can play games on an emulator, because its marketing piracy as a handheld selling point. Don't try to get all holy and technical now, i don't believe that "i don't pirate" bullshit for a second.

Thats totally ridiculous. We have all downloaded illegal mp3s but none of us are in jail. It doesn't make things automatically not illegal just because your not in jail. Im just making a point thats totally correct, just agree.

Jesus. OK, just because something goes against the terms of service doesn't make it illegal. Modding your PSP is not illegal, Sony just won't support your sorry ass if you do it. Saying that, claiming that the PSP has more FF games than DS because it can emulate other formats is pretty ridiculous. I may as well claim that the PC has more Mario games than the SNES.
And to the OP, the answer is pretty straightforward - a lot more people own a DS than a PSP, so anything released on the DS is likely to sell by the bucketload compared to PSP.
PSP just got Dissidia Final Fantasy which as a DS owner I am jealous of. The FF offerings on the DS are reworked SNES games and the CC series for the most part. I'd like to see some more original Final Fantasy games.

I just bought my psp yesterday, and I bought crisis core over dissidia. I was immeadiately turned off from it by it being classified as a "3d fighting" game. Crisis Core is amazing so far.

not takin ganything away from it, but everything amazed me at first but when the awe of the recreation of midgar and the psp graphics wore off, the stale battle system, useless magic system, and there being only one character to play with, i think dissidia might be more of a refresher for me than that was. But i dunno i have never played so i cant make that assumption. Ill make up my mind once ive thuroughly played both.
