I just bought this game for the DS on my lunch break. Fancied something to tide me over before GTA4. It looks pretty cool. Has anyone played it yet? I was just about to but my damn battery ran out.

I played it a little bit. Not much, but I got through the first few floors in the first dungeon. It was okay to me, but I didn't find it as enjoyable as the Crystal Chronicles for Gamecube.
I've played it for a little while now. Once you get the hang of the real time fighting system and finish the first couple of dungeons it gets pretty cool. The story opens up and the characters develope. Plus theres some cool game mechanics that keep it interesting. The graphics are great for a DS game. The in game cutscenes have voice overs and the FMVs are good. Not a bad game at all.

I think the only thing that bothers me is how the main characters look and act like 8-year-olds. I can't handle that kind of nOObishness. It's funny that they can use all their powers and cast such spells just by "believing".
The characters age as you go through the game. Its good if you give it a chance. The thing I love about it is that any new armor or weapons you equip actually show on the character as you walk about. Theres nothing worse than getting "Awsome armor of cool dragon spikes +999!" and your character ends up wearing the same clothes he/she started of with. The story isn't half bad as well. Lots of death, which is nice. And the real time combat is fun when you get the hang of it.
