If i can hold the game disc in my hand then even if i dont play it for months at a time i can still come back and revisit it without any hassles. Not to mention how are they going to do backwards compatibility on the consoles for example? Theres too many hurdles right now for digital distro, its only a matter of time before physical media makes a comeback.

It's easy to solve the problem with space really, just buy more extra space like external hard drives and the like. It'll also help with keeping your room a little tidier.
The reason why physical media sells better, to me at least, is because it's tangible--you can actually hold your purchase in your hand. I'm a bit uncomfortable about purchasing digital media because it doesn't feel any different from just downloading it somewhere else for free, except that I paid for it.
