I doubt they planned that. You can see the rounds flying over the barrels, when one barely nicks the top. If they were trying to shot it down, both would have been hit and with more power.

Not really. Those things are easy to blow up, and you have to hit it at the perfect spot for it to not blow up, so all they needed was one shot to move it, anymore than that and it would blow. But, it being planned is just my opinion, the only way to find out if it was or not is to ask the people who did it.
People just sit there and shoot nonstop on the hog no matter what even if there's no one around. Shoot at the ground, walls, anything..he just so happened to hit the fusion core. I'm pretty positive he didn't mean to hit it either for it to go up the mancannon. Plus since it's in matchmaking you can't really plan it to have someone on the other team just happen to walk in the right spot at that time, without even looking at it or anything.
Not planned..luck. There's been tons of these 200% luck videos going around since the game came out.

The targetting retical on the Turret is way too big to be able to aim like that. It was complete luck, and a mistake at that.
This may not top it, but this is still a hilarious video. It is the luckiest stick I've ever seen in my life, and it's more than just a typical stick from across the map... Watch it YouTube - Halo 3 - Extremely Lucky Plasma Grenade Throw
lol
thats some pretty astronomical circumstances.......
but still funny....and i can see how a ps3 graphics staff member would hate halo....but have you played it?
I say planned because the map they were playing was forged. Those exploding crates don't even spawn there (so they had to put them there via forge in preparation of the video) and the fact that two guys were running right to where the crate was going to explode was too much of a coincidence for me.

Ooohhh okay, that makes a lot more sense... You sure those crates don't spawn there though?
