Humm... After 2 hours of finally waiting to get home and have a scratched disk LOL. That sucks.

I've got one of those fault games. I get a disk read error everytime I put the game in the drive. I've tried other games and all work flawlessly. I'm going to take my copy back to the store and demand a replacement seeing that I've had the game for no more then 10 hours and haven't been able to play it. I spend $60 on a game and it should work. This is really pissing me off.

My friend had the same problem. He only had it for a few hours and had to take it back. Luckily I had a good copy so we were able to play co-op.

Me and my friends went and bought it after school the day it came out, and we had the special edition one, which we heard had problems, so we opened the copy in the parking lot we got and it was scratched and so was the next one, so we just got the normal version of the game, and it worked fine. Another friend went through one copy of the special edition and then got lucky with the next one.

Atleast you can replace any scratched up disks of H3 up until the end of 2007. It would damn stupid if you had to pay for another copy.

When I got my copy(normal edition), I had stopped by after work to get it..as soon as the cashier gave it to me you could hear/see a loose disk in my box..so when I got back into my car I opened it up, only to find out it was still in the holder thing, and it just wobbled a bit..and had no scratches.

Yeah mne freezes every once in a while and half the time I have to start up my system 3 times before Halo 3 actually works. It's pretty scratched up towards the middle of the disc. The gamestop I got it from said they'll be getting new games Friday so I can stop by and exchange it. Kinda annoying but I don't mind. I got it the day it came out after I came home from work and so far I've probably played it about 4 hours. I played one custom game and half of the campaign. I'm a sad gamer nowadays lol. I started working every day and school is keeping me pretty busy so yeah...

At least you guys can play it. There is a whole large list of people on the xbox forums that have the disk read error like I have. I've given up on it though. I'm tempted to take back for the fourth time and say hell with it and get store creds and put it on some of my other games I've got preordered. I know it's not my xbox seeing I can play all of my other games, watch movies and listen to music with no problems. Microsoft really messed this one up and I'm sure the they will be losing some many customers over this issue. Also some of the big gaming sites are starting to write about the disk read error that a lot of us are having. Maybe this will jump start M$ to fire all the QC people and hire some that will get the job right.
