Exactly the same thing I was thinking... although in my case, I might wait a day to pickup my copy of the game. The other day, I overheard the EB Games' employees (where I reserved mine) talking about how they had the largest "turnout" for Halo 3 preorders in the area.

You would probably get your game a day later if you went to EB Games to pick it up on the release date anyway with the way that line is going to be.

I'm not picking the game, but I cannot wait until the game is released so I don't have to stare at Master Chief on every advertisement I come across.

Help, I think I'm becoming a Halo fan...

As much as I try to stand my ground against mass-consumerism and the marketing blitz, I'm getting the itch for this game, even now at the last minute.

It just looks like a stellar shooter, with all of it's character customization, unique weapons, and even multi-player map editor, how could one resist?

So, I'm pretty damn sure I'll be in line at my local Walmart tonight at midnight.

Is that wrong? I'm not sure, but damn do I have a jones for some pew pew pew action right now.

I live in a rural area..not heavily populated.. just called up EBgames to find out how long the line is, and its already over 200 people in line.. And still 2 hours till midnight.. this is nuts.

Lmao I got off of work at a mall with a gamestop and an EBgames in it, and there were like no lines. Too bad I don't care enough to have waited 2 more hours at the mall tonight. I'll pick it up after school tommorow, it's not like I'll have any time to play it anyway.
