I don't think I'd ever wait outside in line for just a video game..that's what reserving a copy for you is for. I'll just pick the game up tomorrow after I get out of work.

Im returning my copy tommorow for Heavenly Sword. The Call of Duty 4 Beta blows this Halo 3 away.

My tipping point was during the last hour when I played Ranked solo and Ranked team slayer for an hour and not once got an ordinary Deathmatch type game mode. It was all that stupid King of the Hill and Shotty Sniper crap. How stupid could the developers of this game be to NOT allow a certain game mode in ranked ? Sure you can select your own mode in Custom Game Modes, but your combined Rank & Skill level do not go up. Only one or the other. The only way to improve on your Rank & Skill at the same time is by playing Ranked mode. Which you never know which game mode is going to come up. You could wait hours for an ordinary Death Match mode. Cant wait to return this stupid game tommorow. Back to COD4 Beta for me.

I wasn't thrilled.

I played some games online, it was really gay, shotty snipers and territories for me.
I also played most of the campaign. It got boring fast. Going back and forth and back and forth. Then cutscene. Back and forth.

The only thing I like is the fact that you can play halo 3 with a silver membership, just the social matchmaking stuff.

It's alright. People are really bad at it though, I have't played in Halo 2 in about 3 months, and I dropped 20 my first two games.

Anyone get any scratched discs????

It is a pretty wide spread issue. Every vid I see of someone opening it up the disc is always loose. Such as at IGN, and IGN's disc was GASHED.

A Best Buy reported about 1/3 (out of about 1000) Collectors Editions were found to be extremely scratched. They allowed their customers to open it on the spot to see if it needed changed.

I got somewhere around there too, and I was playing on a very laggy tv

It seems like there's more game lag now on my TV than when I played the beta...so after I stopped playing earlier I hooked it up to my old TV..

My guess for people being extremely bad at it is because there's probably a bigger online base because the hype and everything of Halo is so huge..so it drew in more people, and new people who are totally new to the game.

I bought the Limited Edition ( The Tin ) and was surprised when I opened it and there were tiny metal shavings all inside of the case and under the disc. I have to say I've never seen nothing like that before. But after a wipe down with a fine cloth, no damage, but I did say WTF.

Just traded mine in. Got $40 for it at ebgames. Not too shabby. I put a deposit on Call of Duty 4 and purchased Heavenly Sword.

I nearly caused a riot at the store..saying how the game is a piece of **** and just an add-on to Halo 2. It really is. Nothing at all unique about Halo 3. The hit detection is horrible...you have to shoot each guy a million times. And you cant just choose to play Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch...in ranked mode. Have to play through all the other crap first. (Crazy King , Shotty Snipers, Juggernaut) By the time you get the mode you want, you've had enough with the game already.
COD 4 all the way.

EDIT : I think im going to put Halo 3 at the bottom of this "most popular" section. I seriously just dont think this game is worthy.. Its mostly all the hype that made people buy this game. If this game was as big as it was, then COD4 should sell twice as many copies.
