There were 70,000+ on when I was on for a bit yesterday, and that was in the early afternoon. I imagine more than 100,000 people were logged in at night...

Finally got to play it at my friends house, and all I can really say is I'm not really impressed by it even though it's a demo. Felt like I was playing Halo 2 again with a few new weapons with mods and somewhat beefed up graphics. Not really a Halo guy, but I just don't think it was anything special. I don't know how many people noticed this, but I think the map was called Vahalia and all it seemed like to me is was like they changed up coagulation. I can't judge it critically so I'll have to wait for this fall to give it my final opinion.

Bubble shield + turret is the most non-manly thing ever. People are so afraid of gunfights :\

Shoots faster in my opinion, but yeah, it's definately better than it was on h2.
I like the sniping being slower, takes a bit of skill now.

I agree Bob. I remember back on Halo 2 when basically anyone could snipe due to it's quickness.

Eh, Not as good as I hoped. I hoped this game would get me hooked and I put it down after 10 minutes. I'll still give the game a try when it comes out, but My hopes won't be as high.

Uhm, no, sniping is so easy in Halo because of the auto aim, not because of quickness.
I could snipe people across maps with a BATTLE RIFLE in HL2, A BATTLE RIFLE.
Now don't get me started with what I did when I got a sniper rifle.
It was way to easy, and auto aim ruined all the fun.
