It figures, doesn't it? I somehow manage to only work two days this week, but it's the day the beta comes out, and the day after. I call that a conspiracy.

If I was as excited as you seem to be in wanting to play the Halo 3 beta, I would just quit my job, or call in sick. Hell, I have walked off of jobs for lesser reasons.
But that's just how I operate...

I'm just looking forward to playing Halo. All the matchmaking needs the new maps that cost money on h2. That's a waste.
But I'd never quit this job, the.... "benefits" are too great.

I've heard there isnt any RANKED Halo 3 achievements. If that is true, then I am happy. But it might of just been some made up ********.

You access the Beta right from the main menu of Crackdown. If you scroll down there's a heading "Halo 3 Beta", and when you click on it, it says they'll give you further details etc...

Last time I tried was a while ago but I clicked the faded out Halo 3 Beta option and nothing happened, that was months ago. But like I said, my Crackdown box doesn't say anything about the Halo 3 beta on it... =/
