What this game has done already

When I heard about this, I had a hard time suppressing my laughter.

I go into work today like it was any other day. After about 20 minutes I saw a box (perhaps I should mention I work at UPS) labeled "XBOX 360 GTA IV" and I turn to one of my friends and jokingly say "Want a copy of GTA?" He then said about 10 people have gotten fired for getting caught trying to steal a copy of GTA4.

But that's not where it ends. About 30 minutes later I talk about the issue with another one of my co-workers. And as I am, one of the guys thats been there a while said an entire belt got fired for getting caught trying to steal GTA4. One belt is about 12 people.

So, yeah, people got caught trying to steal GTA4. Bunch of idiots if you ask me with the way security has really tightened up. It used to be just getting scanned by the metal detector, but now it's turning out our pockets, opening water coolers and lunch boxes, etc. Basically, if you try to leave with something you didn't walk in with, you're getting caught.

I take it you work at a distribution or shipping facility? My best mate does as well, and he says the security is insane.

Yeah. The whole building is loading and unloading for the most part. I work with the small packages, so I got quite a few GTA4 boxes. I believe each package had 12 copies of the game.

Yea I heard a few delivery drivers were also "intercepting" deliveries and taking the games for themselves/selling.

It's weird how you get checked on the way out of a shipping company, but my Mom works in a bank and hasn't been checked once, and they leave a cleaner alone in the building with a key to every room once everyone has left.

Wow, that's pretty good security for UPS.

Nothing like my Uncle's work. He works at GM, and he get's away with **** like that all the time. He constantly brings home shop towels, gloves and shirts from around his work. A few days ago, he brought home a giant box of twine. I asked him why, and he said, "Just thought it would be cool to have."

I wonder if FedEX has that kind of security. I sent my 360 through them to get fixed up.
