GTA Midnight, Included Stabbing, Shooting & Mugging

Thats right, last night was crazy, there was muggings stabbings and a shootout, all over gta4, one person did a store robbery, one person held up a line, another person beat the heck out of an 18 year old walking home and took his gta4, the victim is in the hospital with a broken jaw and broken nose.

Advice to all of you video gamers... DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GO AT MIDNIGHT FOR A EXTREMELY HYPED GAME BECAUSE NEXT TIME YOU MAY BE THE VICTIM OF A CRIME.

Its exactly why i didn't pick mines up at midnight, and hey i was right from the beggining, bad stuff happened, even at the gamestop that i got my gta4 from, a few people got jumped coming out the store, that could of been me! :O

I went at midnight, and I was fine. It's not about going at midnight, it's about where you are going when you go out at midnight.

I went with six other people, so the chances of that happening was slim to none.

I camped for 4 days for the PlayStation 3, I had 2000$ in my pocket. 3 nights 4 days. The only vandalism we got was eggs thrown at our tents and some *** holes beeping there horns at 3:30am all 3 nights.

Only the first night I was nervous. What scared me the most was the street sweeper at 5am I almost **** myself when I opened my tent to find the sweeper going by. Reminded me of catdog.

i took an early lunch yesterday around 11am, hit game stop at 11:45am and had no problems whatsoever. i walked into the store expecting it to be packed but there was only me and the 3 clerks, it was one of the nicest and easiest trips to gamestop i've ever made. i did almost trip over the curb walking to my truck though.

thats why u gotta go to a store that has cops there, and don't walk home THAT night if you kno any other night, u could be robbed. Always use a credit card in those situations because u can always get your money back.

My gamestop had no problem with the halo 3 release, since the army was there LOL. The Navy will probably be there if they have a midnight SOCOM. I highly doubt a midnight SOCOM launch tho. That'd b cool.

I went to get my pre-order at around 12pm (yes, mid-day) yesterday and I was the only one in the line. They had about 50 PS3 copies on the shelf behind the counter but the 360 ones were covered by a poster. The 360 ones were also getting another disk with theirs! Don't know what it was.

Some kid came in to his Mom to buy it and they refused to sell it to them because it's now illegal here.

That story about the mom incident is awesome. I just did a paper about that exact thing in one of my college courses. Is it just that retailers will refuse to sell games to people if they know they are for underage children?

I always go mid-day during the week. I'm always the only person or one of the few there, other than the clerks. When I went in and got my 360 it was one clerk, me and a guy that bought Rock Band.

When I went to get The Show last month, Tuesday afternoon, just me, a clerk and someone buying a PS3.
