If you were referring to me, I never had any intentions of buying a 360, but thanks.

Im so sick of hearing about how the PS3 has superior graphics. Last I seen, 99% of all articles written for cross-platform games have all said the same thing. 360 has better colors, PS3 has better aliasing. And the sad thing is, all ports to PS3 that have come from games originally on 360 have looked better on the *gasp* 360. Oh yeah, and they played better too. The Blu-ray argument is old, and the extra disc space means nothing more than uncompressed audio at this point in time. Rumors are rumors, GTA will never be a system exclusive, just look at the past, Rockstar isnt a dummy, and why cut out Microsoft when they just paid you millions for exclusive DLC, last time I checked, they wanna make money, exclusives to certain systems dont make them the money they want nor need to make GTA5. Thats just common sense. And to say the 360 doesnt have the capabilities to run Crysis is just dumb, I have an old computer upstairs that I've run the game on, and its specs arent even close to the 360's. Let's not forget its a game built with DirectX 10 architecture, which the 360 is more than capable of running, the PS3 isnt though, seeing as how you would have to rewrite the entire code (which is also the reason why half of the ports from 360 to PS3 sucks, since the developers dont wanna put the time and effort into rewriting their entire game). I have nothing against either system since I have both, but as far as games go that are out now as well as future releases, SONY better find some better and more abundant exclusives, cause 360 is spanking them in the game dep't, not to mention PS3 vs 360 exclusives, PS3 gets stomped like a 4th grader against a senior in highschool. That's a matter of fact, their lineup is stagnant, even for '08.
P.S. I wont even go into the fact that SONY, time and time again was called out for using PGR3 screenshots for GT Prologue, lol...

Ummm, did you not see the link the article from GamePro I posted, comparing the exclusive releases of 2008? PS3 certainly does have a better 2008 lineup, and GamePro even said that the PS3 wins when it comes to this year's lineup. And you talking about developers building games for the systems... Of course it's easier to develop for 360, because they're using technology that's been out for YEARS. PS3 is using new technology that is WAY better than what the 360 has in it. The more experience the developers get with the PS3, the better it's gonna get. We've already seen the best that the Xbox 360 can do. If you want to claim that the Xbox 360 won 2007, then you can, cause it's true. But from 2008 on out, the PS3 makes the Xbox 360 cry "uncle."

well as far as lineup its all opinionated by both of you, but to say te 360 has been pushed to its limits is ridiculous. In the new Game informer, they redid alot of the multiplayer stages in gears of war2 and its a major overhaul. Both systems are definitly not pushed to the limit.
Also im so glad somone addressed the bluray argument with the uncompressed audio. I majorly doubt that developers will fill all of this bluray space with actual game content. 6 hrs of uncompressed dolby 7.1 hd radio static in MGS4 is somthing that 99% of gamers dont care about.

And if you were referring to me, I've got the 360 version on order, not the PS3 one.

If I was, I would have directly quoted you and it would have been clear.

You carry on banging your head against a wall. I meant the guy who you quoted, but I figured your quote was more relevant combined with my response.

If I had the 360, the only game I would be playing right now is COD4, which I play on the PS3. I'm not sure if NHL 2K8 is available, I'm sure it is and if that's the case, that would be another I'd be playing. However, for future games (and the fact that most games I like are PS3 exclusive) and the obvious choice of Blu-ray, I got the PS3.
All of this is irrelevant, though, as both the PS3 and 360 play GTA4 at similar rates, though it's been said the PS3 still tops the 360, even after they had to make the delay.
Anyway, I don't really care about bitching and moaning of one system over the other, I just get what I'm going to use more. However, I think we can all find peace in GTA4. I will, anyway with my e-hoes and drunk driving skills (which I hope to obtain).

My response was actually in no way directed towards your comments. It was for the people who seem to go on and on about how one system is better than the other, blah blah blah, with no actual LEGITIMATE reasons as to why. Posts of a clearly skewed comment with a link to SDF (useless), the other link to the GTA article, well I could post the same exact one from months ago, that states the reason why GTA was delayed is because of the PS3 originally (useless, and irrelevant). And finally, no Killens, I didn't see your link since there clearly isn't one anywhere in this thread.

Yea, PS3 may win on possibilities at this point, the games still have to be good though. Which, obviously, can be said for 360 exclusives as well. How and why is the technology better, I can say my VCR is greater than my DVD player, with nothing to back it up, then it would be true to me. They have to get more experience because SONY like SONY always has been in the game market, couldn't just go with what basically is the industry standard for basic programming. And to say its old tech is redundant, there's a reason for devs using the Havok and Unreal engines in most of the best games to date. Which cannot carryover without alot of new programming since the PS3 doesnt support the basic coding. Not a big deal, but it is from a dev stand point since that obviously further delays your already short deadline. You might as well just delete the comment of "we've already seen the best that the 360 can do", since it's clearly just hear say, unless you're a game maker in the industry developing for both systems. And, if my memory holds true, I can remember when the systems first came out and they compared them based on hardware, in all the 50 articles that they had at that point, everything pointed to the 360 having the better hardware overall. Which once again, means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The Jaguar had the best hardware back in the day, but how many consoles did they sell. Software sells, not hardware, regardless of whether it has a BR drive or not.

also remember in this gen, its not just games, as the console gui, and internal softwares are driving alot of these game sales, moreso than the games themselves.

Has anyone seen the G4 gameplay videos on their website?
On one of the videos, some of the plants and trees don't load until after Niko (in a car) get onto the grassland where they are, and then they protrude through the car and out of the roof.
That's not next gen to me, that's San Andreas ****.
(I forget which video it's on, they are all worth watching)
