I try to warn people about spoilers, but it's easy to forget.

Hmm, fair enough, I suppose. I probably wouldn't be too bothered, and would be at the same sort of place as everyone else if my 360 hadn't RROD'd 10 hours in and I had to start again on PS3... but it's OK. Don't you guys worry... *sniff*

Friedns do have their advantages. After they like you a certain percentage, they each have individual abilities that will assist you, such as a car full of thugs ready to fight, car bombs, weapons, health, etc.

Which friends/girlfriends exactly help you and in which way. I know there's Jacob, Irish Guy, Roman, etc.

Check out the sticky in this forum with the title about Codes and Tips. It lists all of their abilities.
I just unlocked Packie's car bomb "perk" and am about to try it out. I'll be right back with a description of it.
Ok, I just used one. You call Packie for the bomb and much like Roman and his cabs, they are not unlimited; you must wait to use one again. Anyway, You pick up the bomb and place it on a car by standing next to the trunk of a stationary car and pressing L1 (PS3). You then select Packie from your phonebook and click detonate. You will start dialing a number and shortly later the car will explode. I planted it on a car at a red light and blew it up shortly after. The explosion was huge. It sent the car flying and killed anybody in it. I did not get a star for planting or detonating the bomb, even though a cop was walking down the street as I did both.

would that work on the missions where you have to chase a target if you plant the bomb on thier car before you touch the mission start marker?

I got 35 hours playing it and I'm only at the bank robbery mission. I think I am around 44% done. I did alot of extra missions though. Every time I would be driving and see the blue marker on the map I knew there was a friend of sorts there and had something for me to do. I take it you just did the manditory missions.

I had close to 75% at 24 hours when I beat it....
I did everything except for stuff like the cabs, most wanted, pigeons, whatever else there is.

I can't believe you guys are smashing through this game that fast. I haven't played it yet, so I don't know how easy it is, but both Vice City and Grand Theft Auto III took me about 3-4 weeks a peice. San Andreas took me about a month as well.

I don't know either. I'm still on the first Island after getting game at launch. Every time I pick the controller to play, I don't get a chance to do missions because I'm busy doing those extra missions (Police, Car theft and such).
