You're also in the mafia. I don't see how you got into college when you have the grammar of an 8th grader.
Anyone who skips school or work to play a game is lame. Sorry folks, it's the truth.

eh..I'd skip work or leave early to play a game or see a movie in the past or go to the local waterpark, but I always made sure that my responsibilties and priorities were taken care of where my absense would be of no concern or wouldn't add extra stress to someone else. I always took care of my business first.
Skipping work or or leaving early just to play the new GTA4..isn't going to happen for me. I'm just not that excited.

Maybe missing a class or two would be too detrimental to someone's grade, but that's not my case. I'm a senior who's about to graduate with my degree in music education. I miss class a few times every semester, and it doesn't hurt my grades. I still do very well. So if someone can't miss a class without hurting their grade, then fine. But don't knock the ones who are good enough to pull it off. I'm a firm believer that you need to find out what someone's all about and where they're coming from before you label them.

I didn't really "label" anyone, I was simply stating my opinion. Even if skipping the day didn't hurt your grade, it's still lame because no video-game is that important. And I believe the same as you, I never label anyone before getting to know them.

It is more important than senior year of high school. I had a low 80's average every year and actually tried. This year I have a 95 average and miss much more school than I ever have. I skip a lot anyway, I'm gonna graduate with a good GPA. So skipping for GTA 4 isn't gonna make much of a difference.
Stop trying to be a cool kid.

Only reason I would skip school is if I got MGS4. But luckily, the release is sometime around summer. So I may have all of summer to play that bad boy. :)

Yeah, but skipping for a game is better than skipping cause someone's hung over, or because they just stayed up the whole night and didn't get any sleep. I personally don't drink, but there are so many times in my classes every semester when people don't show up because they're hung over from the night before, or because they just simply stayed up all night. And this is several times a semester, not just two or three. So I can think of a lot more lame excuses for missing a day of school than to play a video game. And I wouldn't just miss a day for any video game, but the Grand Theft Auto franchise is one of the best selling and most famous video game franchises of all time. I'm sure it's different in various regional areas, but Grand Theft Auto is HUGE where I live. I'm quite sure that there will be MANY more people around my area, besides myself, who take the whole day off when GTA4 comes out. But things are different in different places. So I say, "To each his own."
