Headset Issues

Everytime I go to use my BT headset with my PS3, it's an hour-long ordeal of troubleshooting headaches. I'm hoping I'm just missing something in the settings.

Is there something in the PS3 settings so that the PS3 automatically pairs with and uses the headset once it is turned on? Or, must I re-pair the two everytime I want to use the headset?

I think with the Bluetooth you have to re-pair every time you turn the system off.

That's from the PS3 boards. It says that depending on your headset, you will have to pair it every time.
