Its just one fan, in my opinion its not that big of a deal to sporadically let it fly and get the **** out. You CAN go overboard, but once a month or something to that nature shouldn't do any harm to it.

Edit: As far as I know its only for the 40 gb

Well I have a 60GB and would try it, but knowing my luck it will blow half the components out the top along with the dust.

I usually get an old (very soft) T-Shirt to wipe my PS3 with every now and then. It gets dusty again in about 30 minutes (literally) so I don't know why I even bother. Even the area under the flap where the card readers are gets dusty. I know it's dust and it gets everywhere but it's still annoying.

Well, luckily my fan didn't break or anything. I'll be sure to not use it unless I have to form now on. Thanks for the warning zero.

My friends got a 40GB yesterday and he seems satisfied so that's enough for me.

My 60GB is sexyful though, got everything you could ever want on a console, except a microwave and ATM of course.

I don't know about an ATM but you could cook things on top of it using the heat instead of the microwave. Similar to the PS3 Grill.
