Slight delay in online gameplay... can anyone help?
I have a PS3, and there is a split-second delay in the online gameplay on COD4 on my HDTV. When I use my bedroom tv, which is just a regular standard definition, it works perfectly. And it's not the HDMI cable, because I tried using the composite cable as well on both TV's. It only has a delay on my HDTV. But the thing is, I tried it on another HDTV, and it still has a split-second delay in the game. It's like I'll pull the trigger, and then it fires a half second later. But on my standard definition tv, it's right on. Can anyone help with this?

What kind of TV do you have. Its probably not your Playstation if you have a nice TV. I have a Sharp Aquos, and it is delayed too.

I don't understand why an HDTV would be delayed. I have a standard definition TV and everything is fine. I have been to my friends house, who has an HDTV, and everything there looks fine too. We don't play PS3 but I don't see different systems reacting differently on TV's.

I know for Guitar Hero 3 there is an option in the game set-up or something where if you see a delay you can sync it with you TV. I would look for something like this in COD4, or maybe try google.

Well, It depends, like I said. I'm sure its just that the quality on the TV is far to good. I don't know. All I know is that I cannot play my Rock Band or GH3. Theres ****ing lag EVERYWHERE! I don't know why. But.... Calibration System????

So the better the TV you buy the worse your games are going to play? That makes so much sense...

I saw your post in the other one. I think you're right about it. My HDTV has a 5ms response time, which is pretty good. And I posted both threads at the same time. That's why there's two. It's just kinda crappy how my 20" standard definition TV, which is about 6 years old, has no delay whatsoever when playing PS3 on it. So will you get a delay on all HDTV's?

LOL, you need to clam the hell down.

And you said it's the tv because it's 8 yade yada and anything 5 or something yade yada will lag. Sounds like your saying it's the tv? Wasn't saying you were wrong just saying it's kinda dumb the better the tv you get the more the lag, or something? So just sit back, take a breath, and chill out.
