Different HDTVs have different response times... so I guess it all depends on the make and model of the TV.

Oh wow, GoPre is Jesus around here. Hmph

And you misinterpreted what I said hocky (or hcky?), I said typically anything with a response time higher than 8 will show noticable gamelag, HOWEVER some brands will show game lag with as low as 5ms response time. So yeah, it depends on the model and the specs of HDTVs. There is no gamelag on an SDTV because the SDTV is a CRT display (right?) and CRTs, although they have a high response time, refresh the image all at once instead of pixel by pixel....or something like that.

Yeah, I wasn't saying you were wrong at all. You could have told me that the delay was caused by just about anything and I would have believed you, new technology and me don't get along. For example, what you just typed has gone so far over my head it's never coming back.

Yeah, when I'm at work (electronics at W*M) and people ask me about an HDTV or computer, I say

"do you want the easy answer, or would you rather i get nerdy?".

Oh boy do oldfolks faces light up when I say that

lol, I imagine. I know I would have the most puzzled look on my face. Microsoft and Sony should both make an HDTV that is ready to play highest quality for whatever system you buy the tv for. That would be too perfect though.

Just about every Sony Bravia should be plenty good in preventing game lag. How is your tv OME6A?
