Well, there are just so many of them. You pay to put your item up, pay for pictures, pay a final value fee, and pay if you want to accept Paypal. It's more than a little annoying when your item sells for £30 or something, and you get all happy, but only £25 turns up in your account.

So then you post your auction with the one free picture that they let you have, and have people pay by money order... that's about as close to free as being free can get.

I'm with negative on this one. I use eBay all the time, I post one picture and the small charge for pay pal isn't horrible. If you have more then one picture I usually go in paint and make it one total picture, sure it looks dumb but you save a dollar or two?

It looks like the thread is taking off a bit. I really just wanted to create a site for classic video game collectors who also dabble in the new stuff. Since March 24th, we have registered nearly 100 users and many of the auctions that have closed have had good bids. People are starting to accumulate feedback, as well. The people using the system are fellow collectors and fellow forum members. So far it has been meet with great enthusiasm by its users. Just like on eBay if you have something good to sell, not just common stuff, people will bid on it and it will go for what it should go for. And that has been proven already. You can advertise your listing on newsgroups and promote your own items as well. For many who only sell occasionally, it's prob no big deal, but I was sending ebay $100-$200 a month worth of fees and I was getting sick of it. So I took matters into my own hands and created the Chuckwagon.
Orange Coast magazine in Southern California will be doing a story on the Chuckwagon and I will post a link to the article when it has been published. We are also in the process of securing more free press on other gaming websites and publications. There is no shortage of people tired of eBay and looking for a better, cheaper alternative. It doesn't cost anything to give the site a try, so log on , log in and try the Chuckwagon.

As a matter of fact, I just sold something on eBay for more than $1500 earlier today... looks like I will have plenty of spending money when we go to Vegas at the end of the month!

Damn, who would've guessed that collector's edition Jenna Jameson blow-up doll would be worth so much after rigorous use!?

Hey... it took almost $1200 in bleach to clean up that mess.
