Apparently, some people found a hack to download the Home Beta, but they were still unable to connect to the server. They technically have it on their PS3, but Sony retaliated within hours, they can't use it.

But from this, I heard some pretty interesting news. Home Beta right now is at version .80....but just today, it was upgraded to 1.0.

Home soon is looking a lot more promising.

Not calling you a liar or any thing but may I ask where you get all this information from? Do you know someone or do you have a link? If you have a link please post, cause every time I look for home on Google I just get the same when will they release it garbage.

I go to Gametrailers. A lot of users post links to other places, and I am never in the mood to copy and paste it. :P

I will try and find the links I saw earlier.

Edit: Just saw this. Has nothing to do with Home.

New icon added to the dashboard in this pic. Most people expect it to be in this upcoming update. The link that talks about this is taken down though. Here is the link incase it works later.

Well a lot of people are thinking the new updated PS Store will also bring the Home beta, but I'm not convinced.

If it is released this month, I have no hope of doing my 7 college assignments.

I think the biggest points that came up that lead people to believe Home is coming soon, is that the beta was updated to 1.0, the store shouldn't take 2 weeks to do a normal graphical overhaul, and just for the fact that Sony themselves have been saying things such as "Expect Home Soon", "Keep an eye out in the Spring", "Expect a surprise on the updated store". Stuff like that.

So, even if it isn't Home, it should be something interesting I hope.

They also said (I think I posted this before) that they will basically be throwing everything "in there arsenal", if you will, at us starting right after the overhaul.

Specific points made were Home and that new Blu-Ray interactive stuff.

Sounds promising, but like I said, I won't be doing my assignments.

PS: When is the overhaul due or isn't there a date? I can't be bothered to look.

It will be done next thursday. It will include all the downloadable stuff we missed up until that point and those surprises we are supposed to get!

The store overhaul was the reason the COD4 maps got delayed.

According to PS3fanboy.com, Playstation Home has been delayed again. The open beta is now scheduled for this fall. I'm anxious for Home to come out, but at least we have an amazing lineup of games coming out until then. That'll keep me entertained. Here's the link to the article, if anyone wants to read it...

I wouldnt put too much trust into this. There was an official statement in the last issue of PSM that the public beta was to be released very soon.
