I can't believe there will be people out there who buy luxury place to live with all the best stuff on what's not even a game. I think most of them will just be making up for their crap house in real life.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that my house is crap, but it's one of the smaller houses in this area I live in. It's a perfect size for just me, the wife, and our fish... but definitely too small of a house for anything outside of that. I cringe at the thoughts our neighbors told us about 12+ Spaniards living in this house like a refugee camp.
But I digress...
Of course I am going to pimp out my PSN Home like a mo-fo... that's what it's there for, right?
I just can't be "regular" when it comes to the one thing that's had me intrigued about the PS3's network for, like, the longest time now...

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!

I already set myself a budget of 20 dollars to spend on home homes and furniture...hopefully that will be enough to get a LOT.
I think the only excuse to have a really nice place on Home is when you have clan meetings and stuff like that there, where loads of people can discuss tactics whilst watching their last war on a huge e-TV.
Maybe V-G-F can have their staff BBQ on Home.
I do like the idea of having nice stuff on there, but I would rather spend the money on stuff to put in my real home.

Yah, but spending no more than 20, or maybe 30 bucks on it won't hurt at all. Maybe not even at the same time though.
I guess it all just comes down to how much everything costs, and what is given for free or not.
There will be a decent amount of free items, but hopefully I can purchase a pretty large house for under 10 dollars, and I hope maybe furniture be 50 cents each. Or something like that. If I am going to use home, might as well spend SOME cash to make it look decent...also because I think it would be a nice thing to do since they are providing the service for free.
So really what Sony have been developing all this time is a place where you can spend real money on virtual furniture? Sounds great. Yes, I know I pay for live but its funny how their big project is a place where you can all meet up in your $10 virtual houses and speak to your friends avatar. I'm quite happy just chatting over a headset. And before it starts I'm no 360 fanboy, I'll be buying a PS3 sometime soon. It's not an attack on the people buying into it, just Sony.

I may be a little out of the loop on this one for various reasons, but is Home really going to let you expand your living space for a fee? So instead of your free studio apt, you can buy a condo?
That really would make sense. They're going to be raking it in with all of the extra stuff gullable people will be buying like furniture, games, clothes.
I can't wait for this to come out. I don't want to miss the flash in the pan.

Like I said before, a lot of items are free, and a lot of items can be obtained freely in other ways, but some of the more spectacular stuff is more than likely going to have a fee, but the AMOUNT is yet to be known. It is all optional, so you don't have to use it if it is not your cup of tea. You are not paying for features you are just paying for the design, which isn't going to be expensive.

Yes, that is what they are doing. I don't know if your "floorspace" is expanded or it gives you the feeling of moving house, but you can expand your living space by paying for it.
Before buying new stuff for your home, you have to think about how much time you actually spend it in while on Home. Wouldn't you rather meet your friends at the bowling alley/cinema/arcade rather than at your living space? I wonder if you can get a PS3 to play in your living space, then you can play the PS3 on a PS3.... fun.
I don't see any harm in buying stuff for home and I wouldn't think any less of someone who did, but I just do see the justification in doing so. The only thing on Home I would definitely buy is a segway.

What if you put a bowling alley, cinema, and arcade in your home?

:p
Haha I hope they don't let us do that!
One thing I have always wondered is how they are going to "fit" everyone in Home. Is everyone in the environment? Like if I were to walk into the bowling area, I would bump into you (Zero) and basically anyone else who is logged on and is in the bowling alley at that time? I am beginning to see the point in the whole private space now.
One other thing is who are you actually watching in play bowling? Like on the videos you see a few people playing on the bowling alley, but in actual fact there are thousands of people playing it, so who do we actually see playing it when we walk by? These things just can't be answered without using Home.
I wonder if the Home 'moderators' will walk around in Police uniforms..... maybe undercover?!
