Real freakin' awesome

So I log on to enjoy some CoD4 until I wanna go to bed. I play a game or three, and I'm bout to headshot this kid when BAM!

Scope freezes on screen, then a bunch of white/pink multicolored dots come up. I think nothing of it and reset it, guess what. No Sound, no Picture but it says my ps3 is on. I can insert games, eject games but do nothing else.

I even tried the reset thing and nada, nothing.

So Gamestop better replace my stuff, since I've only had it since th 14th of Feb, or Sony is getting an earful, and my system back to replace it.

Had it working after a hard reset, started SP and couldn't even finish the gun range before it messed up again.

Gamestop better have a nice little solution for my problem.

That sucks. Maybe your a first to encounter that problem huh? Did you look anything up on the web, maybe it has happened to others and is fixable. If not, I hope Gamestop replaces it/fixes it for you.

EDIT: Is the green light turning yellow before blinking red? I've found a video where a guy's PS3 somehow died and won't turn on. He called it the "yellow light of death" like the 360's "red ring of death".

I got the red lights on COD4 on my xbox... I was about to rip some trash talking kid with my p90 up..

I've never heard of this problem from anyone, and I rarely hear of any true problems with the PS3 other than the odd freeze or two while playing COD4.

It's possible that it's just your A/V cable (or other cable) but it's unlikely. I would call Sony before Gamestop.

Thats a new one to me as well. Interesting, I wonder if it was just some crazy hardware glitch, happens from time to time. My first playstation did some crazy stuff.

I saw this, and in all instances, the PS3s have been on their side. Maybe that has something to do with it. My friend's 360 can't play games when it is vertical. Lucky, I keep mine horizontal.

It lays horizontal, and has never had problems before.

Talked to gamestop, all their local stores are sold out and they can't replace the system right now. Now I'm talking to a wonderful computer with sony.
