eh. im alittle iffy with renting games, i only really rent crappy 4 player wii games and live games to get my gamerscore higher. In all honesty tho i cant stand not having the physical item in my hand. will i play the game after i beat it? probably not, but hey its mine and i just cant stand giving up what i paid for at a loss. of course i have nothing against people who rent all the time but im an avid colector of videogames, sneakers and holographic pokemon cards(WTF!? 7th grade bad habit) so i just love buying those things and having them in my possesion, i almost hate when i rent a great game i should have bought.
oh another thing, if you want to kno if a game is for you before you buy it then just watch some gameplay movies. i dunno if its just me but i can see how the gameplay is, the music, graphicall style, and somtimes the control scheme through watching a few movies on ign, its never proved me wrong. give it a try.
Well, I always purchased my games until my cousin registered with gamefly. So, I opened my mind for game rental. Unfortunatelly, gamefly sucks so I actually registered with mygamexpress. The thing I like about is that you can keep the game for a good price. So, I rented burnout paradise which was delivered to my door yesterday (that's why I did not even came to forum)lol
If I want to keep the game I can for a smaller fee compared to Gamestop.
The thing I hated the most was to purchase Assassin's creed for $60.00 and than Gamestop wanted to buy back for $35.00 and I know they would sale the same game for around $45.00. So it would be a lost for me. Now I decided to buy only the games that I really wanted and I will buy them for a good price. Also, they told me that I can stay with the game for as long as I want to Late Fees. So, I really hope to enjoy the services

You got $35 for AC? Pshh, Gamestop only gave me $20. Oh well its not like i ever played it after the first few days I got it. Anyways, I don't like renting games all that much...I prefer to buy them if they interest me enough.

I guess I was luck enought. But I am tired of being ripped off. The other day I found out that for some Games Gamestop resale as new games even though they are used. They re-seal them and sell them as new games. I register with mygamexpress and I am not having any problems. the good thing if I want to keep the game they sell for a lower price for members. Can't wait to play Arm of Two. Did anyone played yet? Gamestop is selling them for $70.00 crazy price......
I tend to rent games more than I actually buy them. That way I can at least try the game out. And if I don't like it. I can return it back. Versus buying the game for lets say about 50$ and not liking it. Then returning it back and getting somewhat half the price of what I paid.
The only games I rent are sports games or racing games. I tend to get bored with them very fast. Everyone keeps saying they beat the game then never play it again. That's true with SOME games, but most I start off on med then work my way up. And now a lot of games have Internet and one player so I keep it if my friend gets it or something.
The only game I have EVER traded in was ONI for the PlayStation 2, they gave me 8$ at game stop so I decided to never do that again.
I rent brand new games, unused from Gamefly (new released ones, where no one would have played it before), if it is good enough, I buy it for a pre-played price (although new), and with all the discounts I have for being a long term member.
I haven't been one to ever rent games either. Do you guys actually know of a website that allows you to rent games online and have it delivered to your house? That'd be so much more convenient for me because I'm pretty busy myself and have hardly anytime to roll up to Blockbuster or something.
