Did Sony ever even give an estimation of what part of the year it will be released? I was hoping for a spring release, but that has already come and gone. Hopefully a summer or fall release.

I don't recall them ever giving an estimate time release. All I've heard is that it is coming "soon" much like Home. I suspect that we will get the in game XMB with the release of Home which is supposed to be released this fall, but we all know how Sony is with their release dates.

Back when they overhauled the PS Store, they said the in-game XMB was coming this year.
Hows that for an estimate?

anything sony says shouldnt be taken at face value, even if they specify a year, LOL. with the new xbox spring update, this XMB better be good for all the wait that they are putting us through for such a basic function.

2.4 seems to be the real deal. I would go as far as to say In-game XMB AND MORE is confirmed for this update.
Rumors of 2.4 coming out on, or near June 12th.

Alright, let me start feeling the excitement and then I'll slowly prepare myself for the letdown. 
In all seriousness, I'm sure it's a legit source and look forward to reading it. I mean, in game XMB has to come sometime, right?
