Someone needs to walk up to Bill Gates and wipe his glasses right off his face with a big open handed slap. That's the compensation I want.
Not speaking at all and banning someone for speaking out is BS.
If they did pony up a free month of XBL they would be crying the blues that they lost over $1,000,000,000,000.00 for correcting something that should've been working right in the first place like last time.
It's beeen so bad that I might as well unplug my ethernet cable and just play SP games so my blades don't stick so bad and my Xbox doesn't freeze when I get a message.

Not to mention completely unprofessional and immature.

I'm sure they got a decent amount of profit from all the people paying for Live..though some pay $50 a year, I'm sure a lot of others pay by the month which is a lot more than getting $50 a year..it has to go somewhere.
One of the reasons I haven't even touched my 360 in the past few weeks is because of the problems Live is having..I went to go play last night, and I couldn't even sign into my profile, I got a message asking me if I wanted to test my connection. So I did that, everything passed so it said I might have to recover my gamertag..I tried that, after waiting for a good 20 mins a message finally came up saying that the recovery failed and to try at a later time..couldn't sign into my profile, couldn't do anything because it didn't go through all the way..I tried again tonight and it finally went through, but still took a lot much longer than it should have..the only part that really strikes a nerve with me is that I'm paying to play games online, yet I couldn't play online at the time, and I couldn't play ANYTHING at the time. And I was paying to not to be able to play online the past few weeks so I'm basically just giving money away so I can say "hey! I have an XBL gamertag!!"..
Holy damn, you made me happy oxford. I ****ing love your comparison. I'm so impressed!!! That was just the key word to describe to the total domination.
When i first bought my live membership i asked myself wtf am i paying $50 for? That almost drove me to buy a PS3, and i have been a loyal xbox gamer since the original xbox first came out.
I will agree with the fact that live is down a lot but, then again i'm not on that much anyways, and just because there is some downtime that dosen't make me want to cancel my subscription... it's just a video game, if live is down go outside, do something else, there is no need to sit infront of your TV with your 360 controller in hand whining about something you have no control over.

The fact that live has been messed up for 3 weeks is only a small part of that letter. We are paying 50+ dollars for P2P multiplayer, bad servers, ADs plastered everywhere, paying extra for EVERYTHING downloadable, and etc.
Saying that this guy has been banned is speculation.
Anyone ever think he just changed his gamertag due to all of the publicity his letter was getting? It's a great letter, and it definitely puts him in a peoples' champion role. Can you imagine the amount of messages and friend requests he possibly got?
I'm not saying that's what happened, but you have to consider all of the possibilities. I really don't see MS as having a gestapo that goes around banning people from Xbox live for posts they make on websites. I mean, come on.
Or maybe he just got the sh*ts of the XBL issues and cancelled his account?
I don't know, the whole thing hasn't bothered me that much. I couldn't connect for a few hours on one day, but that was it. I mean, this is the first huge issue in XBL history, and it was due to the insane increase of subscriptions they had in December.
If it were my company, I'd send everyone a check for $4.16 (1 month of service), with "STFU" written in the memo field.
