Some games (like assassins creed) take up an enormous amount of space to save on loading time, but the thing is i think the save data and cache is the same thing, so you can't delete the huge 2gb file without losing all of your save data as well.
The save data usually takes up more room than they did on the ps2, but we don't have ****** small 8mb memory cards anymore. 40 gigs is ample. 80 is even more so. 320 is insane.

True, but the load times were still absolutely brutal... in addition to the annoying lockups and bugs, it was a total frustration trying to play that game on my PS3.
Needless to say, I played it all the way through on my 360, and it was more enjoyable having shorter load times, and much less of the lockups and bugs rearing their ugly heads.

Also, DMC4 has the install option, and that rids the game of all loading times. But apparently every time you go through a door on the 360 version, it takes 5-10 seconds. Knowing how small DMC levels and areas can be, that could get annoying.
