Wireless Controllers (360)
I don't know if this is the spot for this post but i didn't think that anything else really fit the catergory of what i wanted to say. Anyways, i just recently got my first wireless controller for my xbox 360 because all my friends said it was the greatest thing they have ever seen. So i bought one and i can't be more dissapointed with the piece of ****. It seems like every 4-5 days i am changing the battery's and now my friend tells me to get the "plug and play" cord. I might be mistaken but isn't the point of a wireless contoller to be "wireless"? I donno i just think it was the biggest waste of $50 ive spent in a long time. Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions for me?

The 360 controllers do eat batteries VERY quickly.
( For the record, the PS3 wireless controller=PRO)
Anyways, either get rechargeable batteries, or a play and charge kit. I myself have a massive container holding 50 AA batteries sitting right next to my 360.

You're complaining about having to charge your battery every 4 to 5 days ? The batteries after a full charge last 45 hours, and that's not good enough for you? Wow...

He said "changing" the batteries, not charging..so obviously normal AA batteries, that aren't rechargable.
My suggestion? Stick with a wired controller..Eating through batteries is enough reason for me so I don't have to go buy a bunch of batteries all the time. The moment I bought my 360 I bought a wired controller right with it.

I have the same opinion on the 'why buy wireless to plug it anyway' situation, O.P.
I bought the quick charge kit when I got my 360 and it was the best thing I bought for the console by a mile. Just stick the battery on charge at night, and play all the next day. Also, you can buy an extra battery incase you are super hardcore gamer who plays for like 3 days straight, just charge one and play using the other.
My regular batteries lasted around 6 hours so I ended up using some rechargeable AA's before they pissed me off just as much as the first set. Like I said, best to buy the quick charge kit.

4-5 days wouldn't be that bad if i didn't live in the middle of bum **** egypt where everything is CRAZY expensive. For a set of 2 AA battery's where i live is $6.77 including tax and all that fun stuff, that's nearly $30 a month just in battery's. For christ sake, up here it is nearly $4.00 a gallon for low grade gas.

I looked into the quick charge kit and it does look like that's what i need, only problem is they don't sell them where i live. I would have to drive 50 miles to the closest mall, so i think i'm just going to keep my wired controller plugged in for now and some moron will want to buy my wireless controller.

I moved this post to the correct forum.
Also the plug and play thing is great. You don't have to stop playing to let your batteries charge up. I don't know what I'd do with out it.

Get a quick charge kit, 29.99 in Canada where everything is more expensive, trust me. It is the best thing ever. It charges up your batteries in absoutally no time at all, the wireless controller lets you have so much more freedom. If I die during a HQ match in CoD4 and we happen to have the HQ, I can sit on my computer, check me email and such, while still remaining in communication with my teammates, somthing I would not be able to do with a Wired Controller. Also, the Wireless controller looks alot cleaner then the Wired Controller. The Wireless Controller is not somthing that you have to unplug, wrap up and hide in a drawer or somewhere else and you have company coming over. Personally, the Wireless Controller is the most essential accessory I have for my 360 and I could not be happier with out it.
P.S. If you do by the quick charge kit and happen to have the battery run out of juice you don't have to stop playing, just take it out of the controller, pop it into the charging station and pop in the regular battery adapter that you have been using. Even better, buy another rechargeable battery for it and save yourself the $30 dollars, and extra rechargeable battery is around $20 so it will save you money in the long run.
