Hey genius: a wireless controller is not perpetually powered. You do have to charge it eventually.

The plug & play charging kit, though an added $20 expense, is a worthwhile investment. You will never need to buy batteries again. In the experience I've had with mine, a full 2-3 hour charge lasts a whole week of play.

If you feel it's that much of an inconvenience, go trade it in at Gamestop or somewhere else, towards a future purchase.

I LOVE my wireless controller. I barely ever have to change the batteries. I've had my controller since march and I've changed the batteries three times.

Wow, really i didn't know that, good call

what i was saying is the wireless controller i have brand new battery's last about 2 days at the most. And i'm not buying the plug and play kit, that kind of defeats the purpose of a "wireless" controller.

You sound just like an old friend of mine.

As I said in my post, you plug it in for a few hours, and it's good for a few days.

Consider the alternatives:
A-Always have it plugged in.
B-Continually buy batteries.
C-Go play with Legos.

I've got nothing but love for those little multicolored bricks of plastic. Just listing them as an option since they require no power and have no cords.

Soo there's 2 different things you can use for wireless controllers(as far as rechargable batteries goes), correct?

The plug and play charger/kit, and the quick charge kit?

Which is better? advantages/disadvantages of each? or is it more a long the lines of personal preference?

plug and play:
Battery goes down, just plug it in and keep going.

quick charge:
Battery goes down, you have to take the battery pack out, put it on the charger, put the charged one in the controller, then turn the controller back on.

Notice the shorter description of the two.
