It's probably fixing the flaws from version 2.0. I heard one of the newer versions will add more visuals for the music player? Does any one know if that is true? On high def tvs its pretty cool showing off the visuals.

With the last PS3 update that I performed the other day, I now have a scrolling marquee sign in the upper right-hand side of my XMB.
Also... the PSN logo (or whatever it's really called) looks redesigned.

It fixed 2.0's problems and changed the content icons in the PS Store.

2.01 firmware.
The latest System Software Update is now ready for download for the PLAYSTATION 3. Here are the details of what this firmware accomplishes:
Stability during playing some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.
Stability of System Software including Internet Browser and Information Board has been improved.
Stability of the upscaler for PlayStation 2 format software has been improved. (Playability of PlayStation 2 depends on model)
[Remote Start] feature is changed to avoid unintended power on.
As always, were continually evaluating and improving your PLAYSTATION 3 experience. We will continue to share similar updates like this on the blog, so keep an eye out. Thanks for your ongoing feedback!

After downloading the 2.01 update last night, I still get random "network error" messages that constantly log me on and off their network... nice update, Sony! 
To their credit, I was actually happy to see that this latest update didn't take hours to download and install... so I guess that's a small victory for them.

I have been noticing alot of my friends being signed in and out ever since the update and alot of people complaining about it. Im not sure what that is but Im glad its not happing to me, it's very annoying seeing "Emanator is online... Emanator is offline" over and over.

Almost seems to me like Sony has handed over the reigns of their online service to Zipper or something...
