Red Ring....maybe?
I've having a little trouble. In the past week my 360 has been getting the red ring when I start it up. The thing is all I need to do is wait about 30 seconds with a slam on the top of it for it to work. The thing runs smooth, it's not loud like some of my friend's 360s, and it loads everything in a good time.
Anyone know what could be wrong?
P.S. Since it was a gift I don't think it's under warranty. =/

Make sure the power cable is plugged in tight on the back of your 360..same for the a/v cable.

You can take it back to walmart anyways and tell them you don't have the reciept but you bought it just a few weeks ago and they'll exchange it for you. I've done it a couple times without any problems.

Then your walmart is dumb, because they're supposed to have the serial numbers in the computer and if you return one that wasn't sold its supposed to deny the return...
And Easton, make sure your 360 is plugged right into the wall, otherwise that could have something to do with it.

I should have figured that. With my the leg the way it is I've been playing in my living room, switching between the 360 and PS2. With Socom having a long start up procedure I usually plug the power cord in and start the PS2 up before the AV wires go in. I guess you can't do that with the 360.
Thanks for the tips.

Maybe some people like to do their jobs right? Ever think of that one?

For some odd reason, Microsoft recommends that the end of the cable that plugs into the back of the 360 be clean, and free of dust/debris... don't ask me why, but I read it somewhere.
Just something to keep in mind, I guess...

I also don't see why it needs to be right into a wall and keep a perfectly good surge protector from doing its job, but eh, thats Microsoft for ya.

Just shut up please. While you're ahead, well you're not even ahead, just shut up.
